I used to baby sit and run my church nursery. And if there is one thing you don’t want to cheap out on is care for your children. You could ether offer her a price per hour or a set pay. Say 10 dollars per hour or 150 for the whole night (I don’t know how many hours you need her exactly). I think anything below 10 would be to little, especially for two kids (one of which sounds stubborn :))

I would agree with the $10/hr as minimum….that’s a normal rate, but since it’s a special occasion, you could offer a bit more….and $150 for the whole night I also think is great.   I would suggest that you plan out all of your expectations for her for that whole evening to be really clear about the job description and offer it to her in an official way.

Back in the day I used to do the whole special event/overnight thing all the time for this one family and they always had a set price for the total amount of hours.  I wouldn’t pay by the hour.

We paid ours $150 and that included an hour drive and 3  hours with the kids.
