I know, I know, I post way too much.
This is not the woman I last posted about, btw. This is a new lady. I think her pictures are decent. Definitely not as good as the one I had in mind, but decent. Decent enough to where I wouldnt mind having those pictures in the future.
She doesnt have her wedding prices listed though, and I’m curious what I should expect from pictures like these beforehand, so I can know if it would be a rip off.
Heres some links to her public albums she has.

What do you bees think? Any photographer bees, I’d love to know what you would personally charge for photos of that quality. Non photographer bees, I want to know what you would pay for photos of that quality.
Could someone flag this to be moved to the photography section for me?

Depends on your location, but I’d say 1500-1800 would be the max I would spend on her quality of pictures. Average price of photographers in my location is 2500-3500.
They are decent, but her equipment doesn’t seem professional enough to warrant spending more than the aforementioned amount..

I’m not sure what the range is in your area, but I would expect her to charge more on the lower end of that scale. For instance, here wedding photographers charge from $1000-$4000, depending on what you want whether its full day, just ceremony etc.
I feel this photographer isn’t showing a whole lot of creativity and her photos aren’t anything special. So in my area I wouldn’t pay more then $1000 for her.

Thanks guys! I sent her an email, so we’ll see what she replies with. We really dont need any fancy stuff, we’re not fancy people. I just want them to be nice enough for me to want to see them for the rest of my life.

Oh and the average price here seems to be about $1000-$3000. But with most of them being around the $2000 range.

I don’t think you should pay more than $1,000 for this photographer…I only opened the first album, but I wasn’t super impressed. I know this sounds crazy, but have you tried craigslist? I found our photog there and she was amazing and inexpensive. Good luck with the negotiations!

@mrsgrant: No, I hadnt thought of craigslist. Where would they be listed?
Nvm, I took a look and figured they’d be in the “artists” section, although I didnt really see any.
Take a look at the second album, its a lot better than the first one, in my opinion.

@allyfally: I have no clue what it’s like in my area. We are having a family friend who is a retired photographer who is only charging $100 plus the going rate of his assistant $750 so $850 in total. He is doing all the editing so I figured a person that wasn’t doing a favor would be around $3000. I know people who have had that price in the Richmond, VA area. But that includes the rights to all the photos.

I’d pay maybe $1000. Some of them are really pretty but there are some focusing and editing issues that tell me she should be on the lower end of your area’s price range.

I’m not a fan… All of her pictures are tilted to the same side..I feel like your album would come out odd. Do not pay more that 1k for her.

🙁 I’m quite picky when it comes to photography so I wouldnt book with this person. 🙁 No clue how much they would charge though.

I think, forgive me, but I hate her style. I would pay less than 1k for this. She’s ok….
