Do you think he’ll remember when he next sees it?

So cute!!

My Fiance wouldn’t come near the shop because he knew he’d be able to tell which one I bought haha

I think it’s really cute that he picked it out unknowingly! X

Oh that’s so nice! Congrats on finding your dress with this lovely way!

By The Way I saw the dress and it is very beautiful. Have you considered adding a sash? I think it would look awesome.

This reminds me of how I picked my dress, though my fiance has never actually seen my dress, even in a photo. I have been forcing him to watch say yes to the dress with me, which he was very sweet about, and he even started to get quite into it, after a whole lot of eye rolling. I was sort of hoping to get an idea about what sort of dresses he liked, and which dresses he completely hated. Turns out he hates anything with lace, anything sparkly, anything with pickups etc. Ive always loved pickup ballgowns, provided they are not too far on the pavlova spectrum. Years ago when I was looking at dresses I fell in love with Maggie Sottero dresses like Calista, Ambrosia and Sabelle. Which he would absolutely hate. What he likes is plain satin ballgowns with no embellishments. My main dress concern was finding a shape that worked, and the fabric was secondary to that. Im also not a fan of sparkly, but I quite like some lace. When I went shopping, I figured Id try on a dress which I knew he would love (Sottero and Midgely’s Taiya), and see what I thought, but ultimately I was going to pick the dress that I loved. Well, the types of dresses I thought I always wanted just didnt really do it for me, and it turns out that I absolutely loved Taiya. Its so simple, and I can dress it how I like. So fiance didnt exactly pick it out, but he was the inspiration and it seems he has pretty good taste.

What a great story. I went dress shopping with just my fi. However I didn’t let him know which dress that I ordered.
