- Wedding: October 2008
The suite we’re ordering from minted.com has an option to add an information card. The sample information card is small and simple and says “for more information, please visit _____________(wedding website)”. For 100 of these cards, it will add an extra $200. How necessary are these?
The demographics of our wedding are pretty tightly-knit. I have a huge family so about 60% of our guests are my family, 30% are FI’s and my good friends, and 10% are FI’s family as well as friends of my parents. I would say out of the total 160 people, 90% of them are local. Everyone knows where our venue is; it’s an iconic NC restaurant. Nearly all of our wedding guests are friends with us on FB or are very good friends of my parents. Our wedding website is on my FB page, and I plan to post the link to my wall once again as the wedding gets closer.
The ‘info’ card gives the suite a more complete look, IMO, but it just seems to unnecessary give that it accommodates such a small amount of info, and ALL of the information guests could possibly need is on our wedding website. Then again, the info card would be a nice way to remind guests of our wedding website (the URL was also displayed on our save the dates). But for an extra $200, there are many other upgrades I’d rather do to the invitations and RSVP cards by upgrading paper weight, adding backers, etc.
