Let me preface by saying it is rare that I write about my experiences with companys/vendors/customer service etc. It really takes something really great, or really bad, to prompt me to do that. I have got to say, up until the end of this story, I was pretty gobsmacked that this was my experience with Nordstrom and sorely dissappointed, but wow did they win me back at the end. I feel its really important for everyone to hear how they handled things and made sure in the end I had a good experience and left happy, and I am TOTALLY going to buy from them again. I know a lot of ppl on here love their accessories, so I thought it was important to share!
So I bought this pair of heels:
ME: I say, lets be honest, I return these, you have a used pair of shoes on ur hands. Your going to dump them on Nordstorm Rack and have to slash the price. Then I was like: I dont want to be crazy person and say 50% off but something reasonable…
Supe: What about 50% off then?
ME: HUM SOLD!!! ISSUE THE REFUND!
Supe: Ah I see that comes to $112, I’ll just round it to an even $110
ME: Your my new hero…. I think I love you.
So to sum it up, the shipping black hole sucked, but managable, and I actually talked to her about that, and they are working on that. The fact that I got used shoes clearly should not have happened, and was the equivilant of egg on their face. Front line CS did what I am sure they are instructed to, but this isnt exactly your straight forward case. I’m a little surprise the CS person wasnt on my side from the start, but she happily transfered me over to a Supe, who handled the situation perfectly.
Its not exactly about the money, though of course I am happy to have the shoes so much cheaper, but the whole experience and how in the end, they handled it and made clear, they wanted me to be a repeat customer because of it. And you know what, I will be.
