@figgnewton:  The second one is adorable! Is it a maternity swimsuit? I’m currently about 6 months pregnant, and have been wearing a maternity swimsuit for about 2 months now (for aquafit and swimming laps). You definitely will need something with lots of stretch and extra material through the belly!

@figgnewton:

the first one, with a 6 month bump, might look a little disproportionate. Would you wear the band underneath your belly, if so that might be fine, itwould just look like a 2 piece.

the second one I think would be very cute.

@figgnewton:  Ah I see. The maternity suit that I have has ruching down the sides to help accomodate the belly as it grows, I think that would look great with that style!

I’m a little sad that it isn’t already a maternity swimsuit…I would totally buy it! I’m not talented enough to sew my own!

I would just rock a 2 piece and let the belly out to play haha. I won’t be pregnant anymore in summer given I’m due in early June which means I won’t be caught dead in any baithing suit since I’ll still be all post baby jiggly hahaha.

The second one will look so cute! That cut is uber flattering, and if I was you, I’d get some stellar black cat eye sunglasses and rock the retro look!

@figgnewton:  I got it on sale at Thyme maternity…I don’t think they have it anymore. It’s definitely more sporty than the one you’re looking at.

The high waist bottom will probably be too uncomfortable on a preggo belly. I say go for a maternity-specific bathing suit for the best comfort, or just let it all hang out with a bikini 😉 Haha

I don’t think I’ll make it to a beach before my due date in early June, so I am more worried about my post-partum body in a suit D: with saggy belly!

I’m going to rock a 2 piece. Screw it. If the world wants to be grossed out by my pregnant belly, that’s their problem 😛  I have actually seen maternity pics in the water and she is wearing a 2-piece bikini, I thought it was a very classy way to show off your bare belly in a summer maternity session…so I totally plan on doing this! I’m to self-conscious to go all the way nakey with just a wrap on for maternity photos, but I still want some showing my bare belly.

I think a high-waisted one would look odd with a pregnant belly not to mention it’d proably be uncomfortable and super squeezy. A tankini thing would probably be more flattering.

Here’s a good website: 🙂
