I’ve been thinking a lot about the honeymoon lately as it seems like everyone is planning their’s and I haven’t gotten around to that yet! We have about 11 months until the wedding and I’m curious, when I should I book it? I’ll probably get better deals the further away I plan, right?
I’m not sure what we want to do yet. I know I reallllly want to go on a cruise with my Fiance but I think he was hoping to just stay in the state. We’ve never been on vacation before though, so I want this to be our first adventure as a married couple.

If you’ve never went on a vacation go on your cruise!!! You need to get out and see the world. If you’re looking at cruises they already have prices out. You can always book your cruise early and try to get early booking bonus and then wait for your flights and try to get a seat sale.

Is there a particular reason your FH wants to stay in the state? Maybe he has a fear or anxiety about something like planes, boats staying in unfamiliar places? If you can figure out what it is I bet you could work together to find something that works for both of you.

We started thinking of options right when we got engaged (11 months from the wedding date. We didn’t book it until about 4.5 months from the wedding date. I actually found the best deals around the 4 month mark.

@lefeymw:I think it has to do with the money. We want to move right after the wedding to a campus to finish up school and I think he’s thinking that that move right after the wedding is enough adventure for us. But I’m craving to do something adventurous. As far as I know I don’t think he’s afraid of boats or planes, because I’ve mentioned wanting to go on a cruise with him before and he’s never said anything…

You could always do a 4-day cruise to cut down cost. I LOVE traveling so it breaks my heart to hear of people who haven’t got the chance to experience it. If there’s anyway to work it into your budget you won’t regret it.
