For instance, I have my videographer booked for 2 months already and I don’t get married till May. There really is no reason for my to contact them but I want to bc I’m OCD! They don’t update their website or FB often so I don’t know if they are doing ok or not. Call me obsessive but I would like confirmation that they’re still alive and doing business. Can’t exactly email them and say “Hey, just checking to see if you’re still breathing.” Lol
I don’t know why I have this thing abut vendors disappearing on me. Am I the only one?

Eh, for photographers and videographers I kind of just check out their blogs or their fb pages. Since booking (about a year and 4 months in advance), we’ve done engagement pics with our photographer and our videographers contacted us actually to get more information on us and our personalities. I haven’t contacted anyone else for anything, and don’t plan to until maybe 6 months or less out to ask if they need any information. I just assume they are busy 🙂

I talk to my photog a lot but we’ve become friends and she’s doing family pics for my mom soon, other than that I haven’t contacted the vendors just to check in but if you’re worried about one of the vendors I’d just call and make sure someone is still answering the phones! 😀

For most of my vendors, I’ve only checked in when I had a specific question or I had a reason to talk to them. I’ve spent the most time talking to my photographer & venue coordinator, since we’ve had a lot of ongoing things to discuss.

Ok, you ladies have demonstrated that I’m the only crazy one. I’ll restrain my bridezilla tendencies and only contact them if necessary. Maybe I’ll find some new DIY project to divert my attention. Hehe

Since I booked and squared away most of the details with my vendors, I dont check in with them unless I have a specific question to ask or a detail I need ironed out. I don’t need to talk with them again until closer to the wedding.
