How often do you clean your ring?
What stone and metal is it ?
What do you use (ie soap, and a toothbrush, cloth, professional cleaning)?

@nikkidrew90: about once a week. I used to use a canister of gem and jewelry cleaner, but a jeweler told me recently that dish soap or windex will do about the same thing, so I’m going to try that for a bit to see if it works as well.
My rings are 18k white gold and diamonds.
I voted other. Because I get it professionallly cleaned about 3-4x a year. But often clean it at home with dawn and a toothbrush about 2x a month. It’s white gold (yellow gold prongs) and diamonds.
Everyday! I’m a neat freak and I brush my ring with a baby toothbrush once a day in the morning with clear Palmolive. I like it shiny 🙂
As for the type of stone and metal, mine is a diamond with platinum.
I voted other since I don’t really stick to a schedule. Whenever I notice that my rings are getting kind of dull or yucky I clean them at home with dawn and a toothbrush. My rings are platinum/diamond.
@nikkidrew90: About once a week with soap, windex or some leftover toothpaste residue from my toothbrush.
I clean mine with toothpaste and toothbrush whenever I think about it. Probably every 7 months? I also get it cleaned at the jeweler every time I go to the mall.
@nikkidrew90: Once a week for me! I heat a small bowl of water up in the microwave (until it’s boiling), and then add a tsp of ammonia, and drop the ring in. I let it it sit for 5-10 minutes and then use a soft toothbrush to clean it. Sometimes I’ll use a q-tip after the toothbrush if it needs it. It’s kind of a pain, but I have a solataire presentation setting (diamond stone with platinum setting, to answer your question), so there are a lot of nooks and crannies that can be tough to get to.
I really only clean mine for special occasions. As in, any occasion where someone might ask to see my ring (since I’m newly married and what-not) lol. I use dish soap and a little brush that came in one of my jewlery cleaners.
I toss mine in my little ultrasonic cleaner about once a week with a teeny drop of dish soap. Platinum and diamond.
Sometimes I use my Diamond Dazzle stick (bed bath & beyond) for a quick clean, and sometimes I just soak in warm water with some windex sprayed in it.
Nearly once a day. I make my espresso shot, clean the cup put a little soap and hot water. Let it soak. Then I use the steamer portion of the espresso maker to blast out any remaining yuckies.
My ring is 18kt white gold with diamonds.
I clean mine whenever I see it start to look dull. I use dish soap and water, a soft toothbrush if needed. Mine is CZ and plated silver.
i drop it in jewelry cleaner every couple weeks.
i have it professionally cleaned a couple times a year.
I voted 2x a week. I will fill a coffee mug 1/3 with ammonia, 2/3 with boiling water and let it sit. Usually, I’ll scrub it after like 15 minutes then drop it back in and let it soak for more time. My jeweler has said that using any kind of soap leaves a hazy residue. I used to use Windex, but plain ammonia seems to work better. My ring is platinum with diamonds. Every so often, I also use a polishing cloth.
