I was joking around, and said “Heyyyyyy we will have been dating a year and nine months next week. You should get me flowers so my room will smell pretty.” (I NEVER ask for anything like that, but I was sad when I saw a bunch of people getting flowers. I know, its horrible.) He said “OH! Well are you going to tell me that we have been dating 1 year nine months and seven days and you want flowers then too??” He was in a good mood. I have gotten flowers 3 times. Once when he asked me to prom, once for an anniversary, and once when I got EXTREMELLY mad at him. 😛
I really like daisies and that is almost all he gets me. They are $3.50 at our grocery store. Not asking for much. 😛

Not terribly often.. usually for birthdays or Valentine’s Day, although this year I did not get any for my birthday and on Vday he gave me a bouquet of chocolate roses.. haha. I sometimes get a little wistful/jealous when I see people get random flowers, but he shows his love in other ways and other presents, so I don’t mind at all 🙂

I got them three times. The first time was for no reason but they looked a little sad and still had the discount sticker on them. The other two were for Valentines and our dating anniversary whilst we were LDR. It’s not really his thing. we’ve been together over 2 years.

Usually birthday and Valentines Day. Might get up to three times a year now that we will have an anniversary to celebrate! I kind of hinted that I wanted some yesterday after I took the Bar Exam, but I got a bottle of wine. No complaints there.

My Darling Husband used to get me flowers, but I used to dry and hoard them and it was getting ridiculous! Haha! Now I like it when he gets me more practical things, and Jewelry… those things tend to be okay to hoard. 🙂

Fiance brings me flowers at least once a week. He always has. Sometimes he brings them, sometimes he has them sent. It’s not always on the same day or at the same time. I like the excitement of it. 🙂 It’s nice because we are living apart (moving in together in August) and it makes me smile when I see the flowers he brought me on my dining room table.

I think thats the thing that hurts me is that I don’t get anything for Vday and my b-day presents are wrapped. 😛 Or he forgets my bithday….

I got flowers on my 2nd anniversary when we were long distance (we’re almost at our 5th). He knows I love flowers, but he also knows that I’d rather he save the $50 florists charge for roses and put it towards a yearly vacation, or paying off his student debt, or saving for a house/kids, etc. I love flowers, and enjoy getting them, I just know there are so many things that money could be used for towards OUR goals. Oh, I just remembered. He got me flowers when I had emergency surgery in the hospital, we were long distance, and he could not be there.

We live next to a rose grower so a dozen roses is like 6 bucks. Even then I’m more likely to pick up flowers for myself than him buy them for me. Maybe a couple-three times a year and never on valentines day.

Only for Valentines day. I made the mistake of telling him when we first met that I didnt care much for flowers because they die. Thats apparently the only thing he’s good at remembering.

Fiance usually gets them for me every other month or so. He is really good about it 🙂

My fiance has never gotten me flowers. He prefers to do more ‘practical’ things, like he’ll cook my dinner or buy me a new book or DVDs, etc. I don’t think he really sees the point of flowers. It’s never really bothered me – my mum’s a gardener, so I had enough of flowers growing up!

2+ years together and no flowers. And I don’t care a bit, if a man makes loving gestures on a daily basis, I’m not about to complain I don’t get flowers!

Welp, I’m just going to come out and be the bitch who says it, haha – he gets them for me pretty often! He usually brings them home for me but once in a while he’ll buy them while I’m there (like if we’re out shopping) and I love it either way.
