I went over a year without cutting it. Now I’m determined to keep it short go about once every other month.
Like once a year lol. It’s bad, I always feel like I have to apologize to my stylist for the gross split ends.
I go whenever I start to notice split ends, which -for me- is usually around every 10-12 months.
Back when I lived in the humid south I regularly went 1-2 years between cuts. But I also never colored my hair, almost never heat styled it, and didn’t use product.
I just got when I can feel it’s dead at the end. Having said that I just went like 2-3week’s ago and got a concave bob. I think depending on what you are doing with it. For instance if you have hairstyle that is pixie or shaped it will need cutting every 6-8 weeks, bobs or lobs can go a bit longer and if your hair long, just when you feel split ends every 6 months.
I have more of a lob with bangs… every 3-4 weeks for bang trim every 7-8 weeks for cut.
Every Month!
I have really thick curly hair, and don’t use heat on it, so it takes roughly 6-8 for split ends to occur. If the length (read: weight) is bothering me, I’ll cut it earlier than 6 months. My hair also grows about 1 – 1.5 inches a month, so it’s usually a piece of work – even more so being pregnant!
Before our son is born, I’m going to cut it a few inches shorter than normal so I don’t have to deal with it as much when we’re getting used to having a little person.
Every 4 weeks, but I have a very short pixie cut, so that’s more than most people haha.
I have longish hair and get it trimmed every other month. I find it looks much healthier that way and has fewer split ends.
I have a pixie cut, so every 5 weeks. When my hair was “long” (for me, that means a chin-length bob haha) I could get away with once every 8 weeks.
Anywhere from 0-4 times per year. I’ve gotten it cut twice this year and that will probably be it. It helps that I keep it arm-pit-length with long layers since it’s a low maintenance style (not like a bob) that looks fine as it grows out.
Once a year
