I have a pave setting and have yet to lose any stones. I’ve worn my ring probably 95% of the time for 3 years now. Going strong!

I never lose stones. That said I take my ring off to sleep/cook/clean/shower.

southernbellbee :  I have a pave/no halo. I have had it since March and never lost any stones. It hasn’t been a lot of time though. Also I do not sleep in my ring or wear in places like the gym or stuff like that.

I have never lost a pave diamond. If the ring is well made they will hold the stones beautifully.

wow I can’t believe nobody here loses stones- I lose them all the time! on multiple rings even 🙁 I don’t think I’m hard on my hands… Anyways, replacing the stones sounded too expensive so I filled the holes with holographic nail polish lol can’t even tell unless you’re looking up close.

I don’t have a halo but my engagement ring and wedding band have pave diamonds in the bands and I will be honest one pave diamond fell out when I got my engagement ring professionally cleaned years ago.  I’ve had my engagement ring for over 10 years now and that was the only time a pave chip fell out and I noticed it right away and they put the original pave diamond back in the setting right away.  Never had another issue since.

I’d like to think you wouldn’t lose stones in 3 months.

I’ve only had my ring for 8 months, but no issues so far. I take my ring off when I get home though.

yupmarried :  I was thinking the same. I have lost stones in multiple rings with pave settings. I am so rough with my hands. I have stopped losing stones Since I have stopped wearing my rings around the house.

Both my wedding band and e-ring have pave bands and I haven’t lost any stones in the 12 years I’ve been wearing them. I wear them every day and only take them off for more heavy-duty tasks – dishes, workouts, weeding – and I never shower or sleep with them on. That being said, I took my jeweler’s advice and both of my bands are 2mm wide by 2mm high. She was very insistent that thin, delicate, micro-pave bands would not hold up to everyday wear and tear.
