@ladyamalthea: I see my ring from the side all the time and It was one of the deciding factors for me. There are a lot of similar rings out there but the side view on mine is what I love. People comment on it quite often too. They ask to see the ring then comment on the side view. You can see the bottom of the diamond in the ‘window’ created by the setting as well which I really like.

I always see my ring from the side and I was confused as to why most sales people said I never would. I have a simple solitaire, so the side detail doesn’t matter to me but I’d have to say that I look at it from the side just as often as from the top.

I look at the side view all the time, but that is because one of the main “features” is the side etching, which I love. I also kind of like that it is not super obvious so it feels like a special detail just for me.

All the time! I love my side view, I really loved Verragio, but I still wanted something “simple” and had a possible vintage feel. Everyone that comments on my ring always comments on the swirls/side profile.

All the time! The sideview is what sold me on my ring, I love it. Now I have 2 bands on either side of the Engagement Ring so it is not as noticeable as before.

The side view was very important to me 🙂 That’s what we designed to incorporate into my ring. So much so that I decided to wear my band on top so I can see the side of my ering!!

You can hardly see the side of my engagement ring with the wedding bands on, so I’m kind of glad I didn’t get something with a ton of detail.

All the time, but maybe because it has intricate designs because it is a verragio. Would you be surprised if I say I didnt pick the soleste because I didn’t like the side view?

The basket of my ring is the best part. It’s amazing. I admire that more than the bird’s eye view!

I notice it all the time, especially while driving. Its one of my favorite, unexpected, parts of my ring!

We didn’t pick my ring for the sideview (it looks like a ‘normal’ ring), but I notice it all the time anyways, because I type a lot aha.

I notice it a lot but I couldn’t care less about what it looks like. I didn’t feel the need to spend extra money for something I didn’t care about just because it looks pretty.

I do sometimes because it sits so high for a halo. doesn’t bother me too much ATM, but I’m thinking of lowering it a couple millimeters after the wedding.

All the time, and it’s one of the main reasons we loved this setting. I will always see it all the time because I only wear this ring, I don’t wear a wedding band.

I wouldn’t notice anyone else’s side view, but I’d notice mine. I only care about what goes on above the finger (e.g. outside my palm) though, so I love cathedral settings but not the ones with details all along the side of the ring.
