LadyAprill:  I also take mine off for: showering/swimming, working out, messy cooking, washing things by hand… that’s about it!

    • working out
    • working with gooey things/art
    • any time there is a possibility of injury to either myself or the ring

Adding to nadnuk I also take my ring off to do the dishes or when I’m cooking (if it’s messy).  I also don’t wear it around the house–I only put it on if I’m going out.  So, if I stay at home all day, it stays in the box all day.<br />

I take my ring off when I shower, do dishes/clean, and sometimes when I cook [if I’m using my hands to mix things]. I sleep with it on, though.

I take my ring off as soon as I get into the house. If I am running to the gym or something I wont put it back on, however if i am running to the grocery store I will. I feel like its too beautiful and I dont want to “hurt it”.

lorakath:  Same as you… But it ends up being a lot. I take it off when I go to the gym or my volleyball league, do dishes, take a shower, cook messy things (meat loaf, kneading bread).

I also take it off when I have to go into the field at work. I work in a radiation contaminated area. The rules are, if you don’t want to lose it, don’t take it into the field. We have to survey for contamination when we leave the field, anything that alarms, they take. I’ve lost 2 pairs of pants in the last 2 years. Haha. I wouldn’t want to risk losing my ring.

i never wear my rings to bed. My skin is easily irritated and wearing them overnight when my hands swell bugs me. And i dont wear them when i work out, or clean.

So i put them on every morning after my work out and take them off every night before bed.

I’ve had it a month and take it off to sleep, shower, at the pool, and mostly likely gardening in the summer.

I take off my engagement ring when hiking, swimming, kayaking, working out, cooking, cleaning, doing dishes, putting lotion on, putting makeup on, showering, gardening. Basically anything that could potentially damage or dirty my ring. Sometimes I sleep without it.
