I rarely take it off but when I do I forget to put it back on & go days without it.

I mainly take it off for chores, putting foundation on my face or gel in my hair, walking my dogs (it hurts like hell when I wrap the leash on my hand), & more but those are the main reasons. Oh, & of course showering.

I take mine off the second I get home from work and don’t put it back on until I leave the house again.  I’ve slept with it on when I go on vacations, but it makes my finger swell and then it’s uncomfortable for an hour or so in the morning…so I prefer to not wear it when I’m not around people!

I only wear my ring to work, or when I leave the house to go to the store, restaurant, or an event.

Otherwise, for everyday life I do not wear it.  (It meaning I just have one ring.)  Especially not sleeping.  My hands swell up and the tightness feeling will keep me awake or I cannot get it off in the AM.

I wear mine almost all the time. I take it off to clean it, to clean house, washing dishes, showering, yardwork, the gym, cooking with messy foods, walking the dogs, and swimming. I tend to lose things and even with my little ring holder, I worry that I will take it off and lose it somewhere.

I take mine off when I lift weights, mountain bike, put on lotion / hair cream, and ride an ATV (fairly common for work).  It stays on the rest of the time.

nadnuk:  So WHY would you sleep with your ring on knowing that it’s the most common way to lose your stone? I just don’t get it.

I’m way more likely to lose mine by taking it on and off all the time… I know this about myself.  Add to that my cats’ fascination with batting little round things around, and I just keep it on for safekeeping.  I figure my ring is 100+ years old, with a sturdy platinum setting that’s been rebuilt recently and a moderate size stone (0.7 carats) – so I really don’t think sleeping with it is the worst option.

I never did for the first 6 months of being engaged, then I realized how fast the rhodium wore off that way.  I started taking them off everytime I got home.  It was very hard to not wear an engagement ring when I was still in the newly engaged stage. I now have a second ring due to purchasing a plain solitaire for the purpose of using the diamond as an upgrade in my original setting, so I switch my more detailed ring with the solitaire to wear at home.  I am also having the solitaire setting recast in rose gold and with 6 prongs so it will be more secure and I won’t need to rhodium plate it ever.  I love always having something pretty to look at.  Now I only take my rings off to work out, shower, swim, put on moisturizer and when working with messy things.

I take my e-ring off every time I shower, most times I do dishes, and sometimes at night/in bed..Don’t want to accidentally scratch Fiance we’re under the sheets!! It’s been a bit of a problem. My wedding band is not nearly as likely to cause injury though.

At first I was paranoid to lose it, but now I have a spot where I put it religiously, so I take it off whenever I want.  Cleaning, showering, sleeping, lifting weights, or just sometimes when my fingers are puffy.

I don’t wear my engagement/wedding ring around the house, and I’ve started to wear them less when I’m at work, putting them in a pocket or my purse. Part of that reason is that I’ve lost some weight, and my fingers aren’t as swollen, but I tend to flip-flop with my weight a lot, so I don’t want to get them re-sized just yet.

I haven’t worn my ring in two days. I very rarely wear it at home. If we are out doing small errands or just going to the dog park I might leave it home. Really just depends on my mood lol. I always wear it when we go out for a full day and definitely to dinner. We aren’t married yet, but I have a gold band that I always wear.
