@theredhead: Your friend is full of it!
We say it ALL THE TIME. I know our gushiness is prob a bit much sometimes, so we try to tone it down a bit around friends, but when we are just at home together, we say it whenever we want to.
I once apologized to my fiance because I was having an extra outpouring of lovie-ness one day and said it even more than usual. He looked at me funny, said “Do you mean it?” and I said “Yes, of course I do!” He replied “Then what are you apologizing for??? It is something we can never say too much.”
I love him 🙂

I’d guess 20-30 times a day. We say it all the time! It is texted at least once a day when we are apart. We are big on the I love you’s. But we are not so gushy in public or in front of friends. blech. Can’t stand THOSE people lol!

Several times a day. We end all phones calls with it, text it randomly once or twice and say it before sleep.

My FH was just texting me that he loved me and couldn’t wait to see me today (we only get to see each other on the weekends). The conversation is not complete, for him especially, if I love you has not been said. It’s not my norm, but he has gotten me really used to hearing it at least 3 times a day.

A lot. I couldn’t put a number on it but we always end conversations with i love you – and even throughout conversations. we say it in emails, texts, messages. a lot. anytime i feel like i want to say it i say it. and we’ve been like that for a few years and we just got engaged. 🙂 it’s healthy to say i love you.

We say it all the time! In fact we even have a daily tradition that we’ve been practicising since we moved in together 3 years ago! we hold our daily tradition so much that we even incorporated it into our vows!
the tradition is our kisses three; one every morning befor going to work, one when we first see eachother from coming home and the last one every night before bed NO MATTER WHAT!
the last paragraph of our vows was:
And i promise each day to remember our kisses three; one for each mornign; one for each homecoming; and one for sweet dreams
Now i bet you all think i’m sappy! LOL

We say it everyday! Usually multiple times a day. I think your friend is wrong. My husband & I have been together for 5 years & still say it everyday & MEAN it everytime!

I think I love you is the one thing that can never be overused. you don’t say it to just anyone and especially your SO that’s when it means the most it’s a different kind of love just between the two of you. I’m also in a long distance relationship so when I get to talk to him on skype I say it so much because that’s how much I mean it haha it’s bad were terrible at saying bye and I love you has to be the last thing we say so we say it then ill remember something to tell him then we will say it then he will remember something. I hope we always overuse it no matter how sick or jealous it makes other people haha

A lot. At least several times a day. Basically whenever one of us looks at the other and just thinks, “God I love this person,” we’ll say it. It’s not in a gushy or sappy way, it’s just the truth!

Very often and very regularly. That’s something I picked up from my DH actually. He says it often and I started noticing the profound affect it has on me by hearing it. So I also started saying it a lot more.

We say “I love you” to each other at least 5 times a day whether its through texts or in person. Its been that way since the first time we said it to each other, and that was 3 years ago. Its so important to let your significant other know how much you care, and how much you love him!!!
P.S- Your friend is just jealous. If I was single, or didnt have a relationship like that, I would be jealous too. Everyone wants to be loved!

Probably twenty to thirty times per day. Not even kidding. We can’t say it enough.
