Basically for exercise, cooking, and dishes. Because of COVID I cannot get my service gloves at all. And lastly, cleaning, especially if it’s with chemicals and not just a soap and hot water clean. I still feel like I wear my ring a ton of the time. I keep from losing it the times it is off because I only take it off in 2 places. My bathroom has a crystal holder and so does my kitchen. This way I always know where my ring went.

I haven’t worn my wedding ring nor my e-ring for weeks now. I don’t really wear jewelry while im home and I haven’t really being anywhere except for walking the dog.

Unrelated comment – I really miss dressing up ๐Ÿ™ and I am really craving having a drink in a bar, ugh I am so over this whole thing.

Pre-Covid I took them off as soon as I got home. Now, I sometimes put them on when I leave the house, which is maybe twice a week, but oftentimes forget.

My friend is a gemologist and she said it’s very good for their longevity to not wear them all the time and cut down on the wear and tear, so that’s what I’ve done.

Since working from home I only put it ON once a week at most. Prior, I put it on for work and took it off right when I got home. On the weekends it maybe went on if we grabbed dinner or drinks somewhere.

Out of the list you gave, the only things I could see myself keeping my ring on for (if I wore it at home) is: showering and washing dishes.

I only take my e ring off once a week to clean it in the ultrasonic and wash my hair at the same time. I don’t use harsh chemicals to clean the house. My ring is very difficult to take off/put on, like I literally need soap and water. It’s comfortable to wear though so I don’t want to size it up or else it’ll spin too much. It’s a plain band solitaire so it doesn’t really get gross. I clean it with a toothbrush every evening after I’m done the dishes (while it’s still on my finger).

Rings with prongs should be removed at night or other things ppl are mentioning where they can damage

I personally only remove at night cause I don’t want to damage the ring and have to pay to fix it in necessarily

Although I only wear moissanite I cherish my rings astho they are diamonds cause this girl ain’t spending that cash on diamond !

But yoeach is own ๐Ÿ˜

Literally never. Only when I’m cleaning it, which I do every few weeks.

I take mine off when I’m at home. I just wear an Enso silicone band to work as a nurse. I don’t wear my wedding set when I go walking outside because they’ll just be hiding under my gloves. So with Covid I almost never wear my wedding set.

@checkthisbox:  Agree! I don’t think it’s worth the risk and I’d rather just take it off from time to time as long as I can keep it safe. All jewellery deserve TLC. ๐Ÿ™‚

I take mine off to sleep, exercise, dishes, cooking, and don’t wear it to my retail job. Mine is slightly loose (I like it that way) but it makes things like cooking and dishes too inconvenient to wear it.

I usually only take mine off to sleep, my fingers swell a lot over night and it’s super uncomfortable with rings on.

I take my engagement ring off to shower, work with raw dough (if I remember), deep clean, sweep/mop (for some reason sweeping while wearing 2 rings causes them to pinch), sleep, and any time I work out.

I take my wedding ring off to shower, intense work outs (weights, aerials, anything that could cause a finger injury), and to deep clean.

I also take both my rings off when I go to the beach or go swimming (don’t want to damage the metal or loose my rings in the ocean) and I take just my engagement ring off when we go hiking (because of finger swelling).

Even though I’m working from home I usually wear both my rings. It makes me feel like I’m having a normal work day and makes me feel more put together. Plus, I like enjoying them. It would make me sad to have them just sit in a box.
