mine is off more than on.  It is on to go out, it is off as soon as I get home.  I read something once, and it said “treat your ring like the fine piece of jewelry that it is” and that made me think.  If I want it to last forever, I should probably treat it that way.

I always wear my rings. To sleep, to shower, at work, etc…the only time I will take them off is to put hand lotion on and I put them right back on.

My mom recently got her ring redone as a gift from my dad for her birthday, and her ring finger actually looks deformed from the indentation the ring left for wearing it for so long (her fingers have grown/swelled/unswelled throughout their 30 years of marriage though, as can be expected). The jeweller does not want to size her until she takes a break from wearing her rings and the finger reshapes back to normal. It makes me rethink wearing my rings all the time because I don’t want to deform my finger lol. But I love my set and feel strange without it!

Never. Only if I’m playing with it, and then it’s only off for a whole 30 seconds.

@countrygirlatheart:  And thank you! I did, too! I really love this set and have attachment to it because my husband picked it out. (Sort of!) He said if he went to a store and picked it alone he would get a simple small princess cut on a plain band. So I helped him find one online that would be a lot cheaper than in a store. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve had them for a while, and they still make me smile!

I take mine off to shower because I’m so afraid of losing it down the drain. I also take them off to wash dishes, etc., and I usually take it off to sleep. Other than that, I pretty much always wear them, even when I’m just around the house. I feel naked without them and still love staring at them ๐Ÿ™‚

I was married before aoff almost never took my rings off in 16 years. When we got divorced and I took them off, they were so deformed and thin. The metal on the underside of my fingers was worn down to almost nothing, and this was due to never taking them off.

I usually don’t wear mine when I’m at home. Its got pave on it and I’m afraid of loosing stones. I’ll be wearing my set when I don’t do heavy work, otherwise it’ll be my plain wedding band.

For the first 6 months of our engagement I didn’t take them off ever.  Not when showering, working out or even cooking.  When I took it in to the jewellers to have them re-rhondium dipped (white gold rings) and I saw the difference from before and after I decided to start taking them off when I got home to avoid having to dip them so often.  They really looked grungey and dull after so much wear.

I only take mine off sometimes when I shower and put lotion on. (I spouse if I was handling raw meat more often that too.) I sleep in mine and even wear it to work against my better judgement. But I’m like my mother, I never take my ring off. She’s worn hers for 42 years, and the only time she has taken it off was for surgery or when her original setting broke. It’s no longer white gold but that’s . Ok. Ill probably do the same. ๐Ÿ™‚ it’s meant to be loved and worn.
