The only time I take mine off is when I’m cooking, applying lotion, showering, or for certain sexual activites. Don’t ask me to Too Much Information explain that one.

I only wear mine when I go out…though when we get married I’ll try and wear it all the time apart from in bed.

I take it off to sleep and for showering and any major cleaning of the house. I usually don’t put it on until Im getting ready to go out, but even then if Im not heading out till the afternoon I will sometimes forget!

I recently spent a couple of weeks not wearing it because of a bad eczema flare up on my hands and not wanting to aggravate it anymore. It was actually quite difficult remembering to wear it again!!

ETA: I also take it off when Im putting fuel in the car…hate the smell on my hands!

I wear my ring all the time, with the following exceptions:

    – showering
    – washing hands with soap
    – rigorous activity or activities that could damage ring (sports & gardening, mostly)
    – washing dishes
    – putting on lotion

Other than that, I wear my ring all the time. I used to keep my ring box by the bed and I’d take it off at night, but I don’t do that any more.

It (along with my watch) come right off as soon as I come home & put in my cute jewelry box gifted to me.  I may sometimes put it back on to admire it and play with it, but rarely does it stay on all day while I’m at home.  I’d rather that than leaving it somewhere after taking it off to put on lotion or cook & freak out.

I took it off in bed once to sleep (too tired to go to the box) and FREAKED out the next morning when I couldn’t find it quick enough (ie 10 secs).  Now, I can’t sleep unless it is safely in the box at home.

I only take mine off to shower, putting on hairspray, and when I’m doing the dishes. I’m the type of person that misplaces things really easily so it’s safer for me to just keep it on.

I absolutely Love my ring but it’s probably off more than on. I wear my ring when I’m going to school or going out. I don’t wear it to work bc I’m a nurse (too many germies that can get trapped in my ring). I rarely wear it around the house bc I don’t wanna mess it up while cooking, cleaning, showering, doing laundry, etc. Plus I have pets (cats and a dog) and I’m always petting them, don’t really like doing that with my ring on :-/

I voted “other.” I take mine off to put on hand lotion (one minute max, LOL) and if I’m doing anything messy (kneading dough) and when I mow the lawn (otherwise the handle of the lawnmower gives me a blister under the ring.) Otherwise it’s basically always on.

@catwoman1701:  first, it shouldn’t be leaving a mark on your finger.  That would mean it’s either too small or you’re allergic to it.

My ring comes off when I shower (FH’s rule) and that’s the only time it comes off consistently.  I will occasionally take it off (if I think of it) when i’m putting on loction, washing my hands, or doing something ‘icky’.  I waited a really long time for this ring, I’m wearing it every chance I get 🙂

I take mine off to shower and sleep. I’m afriad it will fall off in the shower and my fingers swell when I sleep so it gets uncomfortable.

I only take mine off when I get home from work, or doing housework. It sits on my Engagement Ring dish that I purchased from Etsy.com. I know exactly where it is at all times when I’m not wearing it! So worth the money ladies. Check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/transaction/131065187?ref=fb2_tnx_title

My ring is always on! I’ve only taken it off to look at it from a different angle or to clean it.

I have RHR’s that I wear every single day (and one that I used to wear on my left middle finger, but it’s been retired) that I put on in the morning and take off at night, or sometimes won’t put on if I don’t leave my apartment. My e-ring is more special to me than these other rings, so I feel like it deserves more time on my hand.

I imagine I’ll take it off if I’m putting on lotion (which I don’t normally do) or doing some particularly messy cooking, but otherwise it stays on. Last week we went to go get it appraised, and even though I’ve only had it for a month, my finger felt so naked for that half hour!

My ring setting is pretty sturdy, and it’s lower set, so I’m not too worried about it’s structure. Also, I just love staring at it! lol

I take mine off to sleep, shower, exercise, cook and clean. I probably have it on for 8 hours a day?
