I take mine off when I go to sleep, and in the shower, otherwise it’s always on. I once took it off to wash my hands in a gas station bathroom… and left it on the sink. Thankfully I noticed before we got out of the parking lot, but that scared me into leaving it on all the time afterwards.

I only take it off when I sleep, shower, and clean. That takes up about half the day, so I voted half-and-half. I do keep it on when I wash my hands, though. Helps keep the gunk between stones at bay in between ring cleanings.

Thank you everyone! I don’t feel quick as freakish taking my ring off at home all the time. Even though he very specifically got me a band that he thought I would be comfortable wearing all the time (it’s a half eternity wedding band), I just can’t bring myself to.

@catwoman1701: I’ve been taking mine off to shower, clean, and exercise. It’s a teeny bit big when my fingers get wet or very cold, so I’m thinking that I might have to leave it at home when I go out in the wintertime.
If yours is leaving a mark, maybe you need to get it resized?

@catwoman1701: I’m a nurse, where I work there are no diamonds allowed because they don’t want bacteria and parasites being transfered to the patient. So i have a plain band I wear to work. Also I don’t wear mine doing dishes/washing my hands as soaps can be harsh on the metal. I don’t wear mine to bed either but when I am home, I wear it whenever I can

I take mine off when I’m washing dishes, cleaning the floor, showering, or sleeping…I guess I’m afraid they might slip out or something and go down the drain….i’d diiiieee if they did…

I think I don’t have my rings on more than I actually wear them. I got into the habit of taking off all my jewelry once I get home. My engagement ring and wedding band have a ton of pave stones so I try to be gentle on them.

I keep my rings on except for the following:
Sleep, showering, doing anything over a sink whether its hand or dish washing, hikes, the gym, swimming.
Whenever I’m in any type of large crowd, I tend to turn all of my rings backward so the diamonds and other stones are facing my palm and only the plain band shows outward.
