I could make a poll, but I’m lazy and feel like the answers may be too varied anyway.
I talk to my mom almost every day, sometimes every other day ..mostly through text, and mostly because she initiates it. If she had it her way, we would talk throughout the day, every day. She can be a bit suffocating in this area and gets pissy if I don’t respond, don’t get in touch with her enough, etc.
I don’t talk to my dad near enough, even though he’s my favorite person in the world. We probably talk once every 2 weeks ..sometimes once a week. He doesn’t do much texting and when we talk on the phone, he will talk and talk and talk, despite my attempts at letting him know I need to go/am busy. I’m talking more than an hour ..sometimes two. That man loves to talk.
I live 4 hours from my parents, so I only get to see them about once every 3 months.
How often do you talk to your parents?

I talk to my mom a few times a week, mostly through text or Facebook but I do try to call at least 3 times a week. My mom also gets kind of irritated if I don’t respond to her text immidiately and if she calls my cell and I don’t answer, she turns around and calls my house. It’s kind of crazy, but she’s gotten A LOT better since I first moved out of the hosue.
I live two hours away from my parents so I see them once a month depending on what’s going on.

My mom and I don’t live in the same state, so we talk via text at least once a week. It’s okay if we go a little longer. We’re both chatty people and catch up quickly.

Everyday, both of them! Usually it’s just by text but we have a phone call a few times a week. My whole fam is really close.

my parents are in California and I live in DC. I only see them maybe twice a year or so. I talk to them daily on the phone

I talk with my mother on the phone about once a week. We may send something via Facebook message a couple times a week as well. I speak with my dad once a week or once every other week on the phone, usually after I talk to my mom.
I’m happy with the amount. I couldn’t imagine it being any more! Goodness, I’d have nothing to say.

I usually text my mom/aunt/sister daily or every other day. I usually see my mom and dad weekly, and my aunt and sister fairly often as well.
My dad is incompetent at texting so I don’t usually text him, or when I do I get bizarre responses haha.

I talk to my mom at least a few times a week. Rarely we’ll go longer than a week, but there’s usually texts, or Facebook. I don’t have a relationship with my real father, nor have I spoken to my adoptive father in 2 years.

I talk to my mom once a week on average…I’d guess. Sometimes more, sometimes less. My dad probably every 2 weeks or so. I usually see them once a month as well (they live about an hour from me). Though between all the holidays and some shopping last month I think I saw my mom 5 times or more.

With my mom, a few times a day. We’ll talk in the morning, then usually before dinner. Sometimes we’ll even talk again in the evening, usually to talk about a new recipe that one of us tried for dinner. My dad, we talk every few days. He’s less of a phone talker.

I hardly talk to my mom or dad.
I am always the one to initate the calls.
We are not close.
BUT my mother-in-law talk almost everyday and see eachother at least a few times a week. I am very lucky to have her.’
I always craved the relationship most girls have with their parents…even if it’s annoying to some of you…I would take it.
I would gladly take the mom/daughter overbearing mom comments/fighting/nosey or judgemental behavior, over the relationship I have now with her. Be grateful:)

I talk to my mom almost everyday through work e-mails…usually about wedding stuff, or upcoming plans we have, etc. She’ll text me once in a while, but we hardly talk on the phone unless it’s short and quick. I hardly talk to my dad on the phone. He is not much of a phone chat person (and neither am I!)
I texted him a joke once and he told my mom that his phone was broken because he couldn’t get the “voicemail” envelope to go away…turns out it was the text message envelope. He still has a flip phone, and won’t let me program anyone’s numbers in his phone because “he has them all in his head”.
I try to visit my parents at least every other week though, they’re only 45 minutes away.
