Happy Hump Day for those who work M-F!
During the week while you’re away from your SO, how do you communicate, and how often?
My hubby works in a law office, so he’s unable to text at all. On nights he has school, he doesn’t text me, even during his break. Probably because he’s too busy chowing down at a local Mexican restaurant.

@LittlePumpkin: We talk throughout the day.

We text all day long. We are texters. We both prefer texting to phone calls, unless it is family! haha! but if there is something we need to talk about that is better said over the phone, or one of us just wants to hear the others voice, we will call each other occasionally.

If I’m sleeping at my place just a call good night that’s it. We don’t text during at all really too busy.

We text daily, not just because I have to let him know what time to pick me up from the train station! Sometimes we are both swamped at work though and don’t text until the end of the day, but usually it’s a couple times throughout.

We use Google chat while we’re at work if we feel like talking, but we don’t necessarily talk every day. We just keep our gmail accounts open so we can see if we get a message. Much quicker/less obvious (haha) than texting.

FI works retail and rarely gets off on time. He usually calls me or shoots me a text when he’s coming home. On days that he opens he picks me up from work so I call him when I’m ready for a pick up. We don’t really communicate during the day just to talk to each other because we’re busy.

We text and call each other throughout the day, unless we’re at home together obviously.

We chat on gmail when he’s home, otherwise we text.

We email several times throughout the day. DH has a job with high security, so outside cellphones have to stay in a locker. I email him things I need (or sometimes just a cute picture of a cat to make his day better) throughout the day, but we don’t have like long conversations or anything. And if I need him more urgently, I can call his landline at work. But we definitely are “in touch” unless it’s a super busy day.

We barely text each other. He’s a mechanic so he doesn’t have his phone on him and isn’t really able to text me often. He does check it throughout the day so if i do have something I need to ask him or tell him I still send a message and if it’s urgent ill just call his job directly. I do get a phone call once he is off the clock to let me know he is on his way or to tell me he has some errands to do or whatever. We save most of our conversing for in person. Our phone calls and texts when they do happen are always very direct and rarely frivolous.

Occasional text if its something that needs a quick response. Usually it’s email as I’m a teacher so can’t really be checking my phone during class 🙂

We only tend to see each other once a week (4 times so far this week!) so text is our only form of communication mostly.

Well we are kind of in a LDR right now… we live 2.5 hours apart. We see each other pretty much every weekend because I am living with his parents in his hometown for my job, and he’s living with MY parents in my hometown for his job! Therefore, we call and text at least a little every day because we don’t get to see each other during the week.
When we used to both live at his parents, I believe we texted pretty much every day, even though we would see each other…
Of course no texting THIS week because SOMEONE’s touch screen stopped working… so SOMEONE thought that they would just take the battery out… and only when the battery was beyond all repair (and out) did SOMEONE realize that the battery wasn’t SUPPOSED to come out….
My darling rough and tumble tornado.

I used to text him like once a month on my lunch break, not I don’t at all!
