SO wants to wash the towels everytime. I was raised where you kept the same one for a week or two. That was nasty.

We compromise and use the same towel approximately three days, and ALWAYS hang the towels somewhere so that they can dry properly.

I just feel like, “My body was just scrubbed clean, how dirty can the towel really get.”

ETA: I do NOT want to know how dirty the towel can really get.

Wow a fresh towel every shower? I can’t imagine! See the way I think of it, if you are drying your clean self off with a clean towel, the towel doesn’t really get “dirty” in one use, it just gets wet!

I wash towels about once a week. I usually don’t even let housekeeping at a hotel change them every day, it just seems like a waste.

Towels are washed every week at my house. Living in Alaska, things dry indoors very quickly (so the towels don’t sit around damp for too long) and obviously we don’t sweat too much 🙂

I do however admit to using a new washcloth every night for my face… much easier to launder than towels though.

I’ll use the same towel for 2-3 days.

We do them once a week. I figure they don’t get dirty that much as we promptly hang them up after using them.

If it’s a pool towel I will wash it after each use because of the chlorine.

Once a week. You’re using it to dry the water off of your clean body–why would you need a new towel every time? Hang it up after you’re done. We wash them with a cup of white vinegar, too.

I had bad acne when I was a teenager and was told to use a new towel everytime. So i’m still in that habit.

@Cornmuffin09:  “I do NOT want to know how dirty the towel can really get.”

Hahahaha… a friend of mine had a guy friend in college who found out! He was operating on the “I just cleaned myself, therefore the towel cannot be dirty” concept, except instead of applying it for a few days, he just… stopped washing his towel. I’m not sure exactly how long it took, but the end result was that he did end up with a skin infection because that towel accumulated so much bacteria. GROSS!

ETA: we change once a week, or once the towel loses its “freshly washed” smell if that happens sooner than a week.

Once a week. Using a new one each time seems kind of wasteful to me.

Typically twice before it becomes the hair towel on the 3rd day.

@WannaBeeMrsB:  I use the same towel for my hair for a few times, but not for my body.
