I use two towels (one for hair, one for body) and I use them for about one week each. Reading everyone elses responses though is making me feel dirty and like I should do it more often haha

@MsJ2theZ:  I do the same.  Hang upside down to dry the body, than wrap the hair.  One towel.  Sha-bam!!

I change the towels once a week.  I would be surprised if my Darling Husband or daughter decided to get a new towel in the middle of the week.  That is a lot of laundry to do if everyone got a new towel everytime.  I myself am a clean person and am ok with using a towel that touched my own clean butt touching my face.

In Paris I was told “Americans are always overcleaning themselves.”  Made me laugh but is so true.

I get a new clean towel after maybe a week.  I don’t actually wash a load of towels until a few weeks go by, because we own more than two towels.  The one thing I can’t stand, though, is a damp hand towel.  If we have enough people over that the hand towel is noticeably damp, I’ll change it out immediately.

I had an ex-boyfriend who folded his towel in half before hanging it up.  Sure, it looks nicer folded in half, but it’s not going to dry properly that way!  No wonder his towels smelled musty.

@kgirl91:  OMG. I need to get that for Fiance.

I use my towels 3 times before I use a new one. But theres 3 people living here, so they get cleaned more than once a week.

@ShiftedLobster:  lol I agree with this! I read that and I was like, I don’t really “dry” those regions much! A quick pat and then letting them air dry while I wear a bathrobe while I finish getting ready has always been more than sufficient to me.

This thread has me imagining skid marks on towels *shudders*

I rotate in fresh towels once a week, my hair wrap gets cleaned twice a week because it gets used every other shower.

I use the same two towels for 2-4 days.

I use a towel for my hair & a towel for my body. I use them each for a few days and then switch them out. We have a drying rack we hang them on so they dry very quickly.

I use a towel for my hair and a towel for my body and I use the same one for a day or two, but no more than that. I usually wash towels in one big load once a week, but we have plenty of towels so I can get away with it.

I probably use a towel 2-3 times before washing. We have about 6 towels in rotation. It varies on how long each is used. It’s very dry here, though, so they seem somehow “cleaner” to reuse than back in Ohio, where they may have not even dried before a second use.

@ChemistryBride:  the towel doesn’t really get “dirty” in one use, it just gets wet! Exactly!!

Up until I lived with my husband and don’t have the luxury of a washer and dryer, I use the same one for about 3 days or so, then get a new one.  I use the same hair towel all week because I only wash my hair 3-4 times a week.  And hair towels don’t actually get dirty, but I do see my makeup on them from putting on my foundation with the towel in my hair still.
