I wash it eevvvvery day.  Otherwise it gets really greasy and nasty and I get fantasies of chopping it off.

I wash my hair when it needs it.  Usually every three or four days.  I just washed my hair this morning going five days, (I had it colored).  My hair is thick and wavey.  I also use Aveda products – makes them last longer and my hair healthier!

Im black and i wash mine about every 10 days. I will wash it more frequently depending on how i style it (if is use a ton of product) but I usually dont because it makes it really dry.

@MrsLongcoatPeacoat:My hair would hate me if I washed it every day.  I have long thick hair and I wash it 2-3 times a week at the most.  I find my hair always looks better the day after washing anyway and for some reason it takes A LOT for my hair to even look remotely greasy.  If I wash my hair more than that it just feels dry and my scalp feels dry, everything feels dry!

OKay ladies, I love this because I just started doing this after my most recent visit to a salon… I am caucasian with long medium thickness hair, but I have not washed my hair in 4 days and it looks amazing. Unlike most of the bees I get in the shower and rinse it probably every other day with the hottest water I can stand but I don’t use shampoo or conditioner. My stylist recommended to wash it once a week because when you use shampoo it strips the natural oils from your hair causing it to create more oils to compensate therefore making your hair greasy. I couldn’t a week without rinsing out product and everything from daily wear..

I wash every other day at night and it generally looks best the 2nd day out from the wash. Sometimes I will wait an extra day in between washes, but I do rinse it out on that extra night. I do have a shower cap that I use occassionally, mostly if I end up showering in the morning as opposed to at night, but usually just put it up. I will wash it more if I’ve been sweaty or in the pool or something like that.

From what I’ve heard, shampoos generally strip the oils so then your scalp make excess oil to replinsh all that the shampoo has taken out. If you transition from shampooing once a day to once every other day (or longer) it will take a couple of weeks for your scalp to stop producing all the extra oils that it needed to when you were shampooing every day. Also, conditioner should generally only be used/need to be used on the  ends of hair as that’s the part the doesn’t get all the moisture from the oils in the scalp.

I wash mine everyday sometimes twice a day. I have A LOT of hair… but it’s kind of thin. It’s light brown but always dyed something else. It’s very very wavy and gets tangled terribly.

By the end of each day it’s already greasy looking so if I have to go out in the morning then again at night it has to be washed twice… It’s super annoying and I try so hard not to go anywhere till the afternoon so I only have to wash it once.

I wash my hair every other day. Unless I straighten it, then it is maybe 2-3 times a week. My hair is long and EXTREMELY thick. I doesn’t get greasy quickly, if I wash it too much it gets dry, and honestly, if I am going to spend all that time getting it straight, I am not going to wash it out the next day!

I black and I wash my hair twice a week. Once with shampoo and conditioner, and once with just conditioner.

I have super, baby fine hair and if I don’t wash my hair every single day, I look disgusting.  I use really really nice shampoo and conditioner though that does not have any sulfates, but sometimes I just use baby shampoo.

I’ve been washing it daily but it’s been really dry and I’m thinking of switching to every other day for a while.

I have long thick wavy/curly hair and I wash it every two days sometimes I will wait 3 but my hair would be up in a ponytail or something by the third day. I also use a bit of dry shampoo if the top or my bangs look a touch greasy.

Every single day! But then again I’m white and have very fine, soft hair. If I don’t wash it, it’s way greasy.
