We rotate between two sets of towels and use fresh ones every 3-4 days. Sheets get changed once, sometimes twice a week (because who doesn’t love snuggling up into fresh sheets). Everything gets washed once a week. I just follow my mom’s rules on housekeeping, which is what most people seem to do.

I’m neat freak & love doing laundry! My husband night sweats and our doggies sleep in bed with us so I wash the sheets twice a week!

sheets: bi-weekly.  We aim for weekly but forget often.  (We hire a cleaning lady every other Friday who will make our bed if we strip the old sheets, so we’re guaranteed at least that often.)

towels: I throw mine in the wash once a week or so (I do not shower daily, so this means after 3 to 6 uses).  DH does a lot less.  But to be fair, he takes up the entire towel rod so that his towel isn’t even a little doubled up, so I end up having to hang mine on a hook, which means it doesn’t dry out half as quickly and probably gets smellier faster as a result.  It’s annoying, and was a point of contention back when we first started dating, but I’ve since let it go.

snowflake8 :  Towels are once a week, sheets are every two weeks during the school year and once a week during the summer when I have more free time.
