A lot of us wonder whether or not to get a curved or straight band to go with our ering. A curved band might match better, but we might want the option of being able to wear the straight band alone. I’m in this boat, but I’m thinking: “would I ever really want to take my ering off and wear my band alone?”
So experienced bees: How often do you wear your band alone?

My ering and my wedding band are both super thin (1.7mm each) so I feel really weird just wearing the band. When I’m going somewhere where I shouldn’t wear my wedding set, I either wear a simple floral-motif ring that Darling Husband gave me as a gift or nothing at all.

The band that goes with my e-ring is 1.7 or 1.8 mm. I did wear it alone the other day but I don’t really like the look. I have a 3mm palladium band that I wear if I do not want to wear my e-ring/diamond band combo. I did have both used during the ceremony, so they are both “real”.

I wear my band by itself often. If I’m going to ride the train or if I’m going to a somewhat sketchy area I never wear my e-ring unless I’m with company. When in doubt, I leave it behind.

I was surprised to find that I like to wear just my band out sometimes. Nothing says “married” to me like a plain band. I probably wear the band alone 1-2 days per week.
ETA I usually wear just the band at home.

If it were up to me, I would wear my band alone most of the time. But my husband hates when I do that.

I don’t see an option for “sometimes.” I usually wear both my ering and band together, but sometimes I wear just my band. It is a straight 2 mm diamond band.

Out, I always wear mine together. When I come home & I’m in for the night, I usually just have my wedding band on.

I have an ering and weddingband. I probably wear my e-ring by itself 75% of the time. Then both my wedding band and e-ring the other 25th. I don’t really wear just my wedding band unless I am traveling out of country and don’t feel comofrtable wearing the ering. My reason for mostly wearing just the e-ring it because I just like the way it looks alone and it is really comfortable.

I soulderd mine together so really I have to always wear them both. I do have a plain band to stack but I never wear it alone

No option for anything between “always” and “no” ? I’m not married yet but I will wear my plain (etched) straight band alone sometimes – I work outside all summer and get all dirty. When I’m not in the field, I’ll wear them both.

I do sometimes, when my knuckles are swollen. However when I do wear just my band I find that I really miss my e-ring at the end of the day.

I’m not married yet, but I will wear my band alone sometimes. My e-ring is an emerald, so I have to be careful with it– not wear it in places where it could get damaged and keep it away from grease and soap. Right now I wear nothing or a place-holder ring when out hiking or doing other physical activity or when cooking/cleaning. I intend on getting a band that can withstand these activities so I ccan wear it alone and don’t have to keep switching. 🙂

My ring was made so that the wedding ring gets clipped into the engagement ring; they came as a set, so it would look really silly to just wear my wedding band. I suppose I could just wear my engagement ring, but there’s no reason to! I’d maybe take it off as a whole for whatever reason or another (painting, yard work), but otherwise, those suckers stay on my finger!

Almost always take both rings off at home or when doing any physical activity. Guess I should really get in place holder plain band … Otherwise they are on my hand most of the time
