I just buy them for myself when I want them. Fiance is allergic and other than not understanding why I would want them in the first place, he also would hate bringing them in the car.

He does a lot for me but only gets me gifts when I ask. He scored a 0 for gifts on the five love languages quiz =)

Almost never. I think maybe 5 times in 18 years, if that. My mom buys me flowers much more often, LOL!

FH almost never buys me flowers, maybe once a year. I tell him I don’t want them though! I just am not a “flower person” and I think they’re a waste of money. I would rather him put that money towards my new kitchen appliances ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Stargaze31:  Funny! I’m one of those women that is not at all offended by the iron, vaccum, kitchen/cleaning type gifts…I’m usually asking for them. And the KitchenAid mixer…come on, that’s a nice gift!!

He buys them sometimes. Usually I’ve hinted that I want them, and he makes it happen. It ranges from $10 grocery store bouquets to much more expensive flowers from a florist. I don’t really care either way. For a while, I really wanted them just to brighten up the house– so I bought them myself. This insulted his manhood a bit, so now he does it. Still occasionally, though. Once every 2-3 months.

Normally he will get them for me for Valentines Day, my birthday, our anniversary, or if I am having a hard day/week. I’m also someone who has an anxiety disorder/depression so he gets me them if I am having issues with that as well. My Fiance is pretty awesome, he and I both know that the flowers will die, but they really do make me smile. That’s what he cares about ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband knows how much I love flowers and when he goes to the farmers market he’ll bring a bunch or 2 home. His view on them is ” If all it takes is $5-10 to make you happy, I’m happy to do it”.

Quite honestly I will never understand some men’s mentality on making their women happy. Who cares if the flowers last a few weeks, a few days or even a few hours?

You will NEVER EVER hear a man say “Sex? You want sex? That’s such a waste of time, it only lasts a ______ and it’s over. All it did was make you feel good.”

@Glasgowbound:  I don’t usually get all, “oh… flowers.”  but.  “OHH… Flowers…!”  That’s probably one of the most fabulous arrangements I’ve ever seen!

My guy is random with flowers, chocolates and things.  Never on valentines or anything but you also never know when you’ll come home and find a vase full of them on the bookshelf.  He’s seen my favorite chocolate on sale before and not brought home a piece of it but a stack of it.  I hugged his neck and asked if he was trying to tell me something.  Seriously, a stack of really fantastic chocolate, I was set for months.
