I’ve noticed at work, I work at a painting studio where we insrtuct a BYOB painting class, half of my co-workers never wear their rings into the studio and half keep them on throught painting and cleaning and sticking our hands in glitter glue. I just noticed a friend take her ring off before cleaning the kitchen after dinner. It just made me wonder how often everyone else takes there’s off or why they do?
I keep my own on through out the day (but take it off during the shower,) however, I wash it very regularly because I do wear it through out everyday; I have noticed it needs regular cleanings!

@BlondeeBee: I take mine off in the shower (at FH’s insistince), when I’m putting on hand cream, or doing dishes. I’ll also take it off if i’m doing thinks that are ‘icky’ like stuffing a turkey.

Rarely. I only take my ring off if I’m doing something messy with my hands (dishes, mixing food/baking with my hands, gardening, etc).

I am so bad at taking mine off, and I should take it off for more activties. For the most part I take it off for handwashing and dishes, and ESPECIALLY for when I put on sweaters with loose fibers (they keep getting caught in the setting!), and sometimes when cooking.
However, I do use it when I’m working with my hands a lot, and have had scares where I bump the ring against something and my heart sinks to my stomach, but no knicks or scratches yet *crosses fingers*

I wear my wedding set when I’m outside the house… I take it off when I get home.
I don’t want to damage it or gunk it up or lose it while doing mundane household chores.
I wish my rings were indestructable but that isn’t the case… so I am very careful with them!

I only take mine off to shower, apply lotion/hair products and when I am doing something really messy that uses the whole hand and not just tips of fingers. I wear gloves when I clean and do dishes, but that’s mostly because my skin is incredibly sensitive and will dry out and crack if exposed to too much hot water or cleaning supplies.

I take mine off when I get home from work every day. It usually won’t go back on until I’m getting ready for work the next day. I rarely put it on over weekends.

I rarely wear mine. I only wear it to work (IF I am not working with chemicals or in the field), when we go out, or to family functions. The original diamond fell out (during a cook-out and was never found) and after it was replaced, I became way more cautious with my e-ring. I rather not wear it than go through that again. Now my wedding band, I will wear that 24/7.

@BlondeeBee: I literaly only take my ring off when I am cleaning it myself or taking it for a check-up (which I do about every 3 months because our jeweler does it for free).

Bedtime, doing dishes, handling raw meat, putting on hand cream, when I’m showering or doing my hair (my hair gets stuck in EVERYTHING), when I’m skiing (I leave it at home), if I’m going to be scrubbing something or mucking about. I take off both my rings, my e ring and my RHR.

I never take mine off, unless I’m buying something off Craigslist!

@BrandNewBride: Haha, that’s awesome. Love that strategy 😉
I keep my rings on all the time. I do change out my set for stacked bands though, to keep it interesting. But I do wear wedding rings at all times.

I never take mine off, ever. I’m too scared I’d lose it.

I take mine off when I go to bed at night, when I take a shower, do dishes or clean, and when I run.

@BlondeeBee: I’ve noticed lately I rarely wear my rings. I don’t work so I don’t wear them around the house, and only put them in when I leave the house… Every once in awhile I’ll forget to put um on when I go to the grocery store.
