We are both 28.  We will be 29 when we get married.  I guess I am at that right age to get married while the fiance is still considered “young”  lol.

I have this problem hardcore!

We are both 26.  I am 1 month and 14 days older than him.  I’m 1 month away from turning 27.  People think I am in high school.  I constantly get asked what grade I am in when I am getting a pedicure/getting my hair cut/just being out around.

I actually tell people I’m not in high school anymore, and then they guess college.  Then I tell them my real age and I’m met with blank-faced shock and refusals to believe it.  I don’t think I look /that/ young, but apparently people think otherwise.

I giggled at PPs ideas of saying “old enough” and “old enough to get married.” (In a good way, that is!) When I was little, I always wanted to know how old my grandparents were. When I’d ask my grandma, she’d say “Old enough to know better!” 🙂

I’m 26, but I behave like a 50 lol My fiance is 38, he behaves like a 17 year old boy. Can it get any better? haha..

A sis of mine thinks  am too young to get married. When will they learn that age is just a number!!! 😉

@ejh08278: Im 20 and my fiancee is 25, and people either tell me i am a child and need to think about my life decisions or that they are happy. To me its just a number because I know that (it sounds cheesy) he is the one for me. So dont listen. Your not too young.

We are 22, and will be 23 when we’re married. We also look like 17-year-olds, and we know it. I just let the you’re-so/too-young comments roll off my back.

We know what we’re doing by getting married and why we’re doing it; we know that we’re ready, regardless of our young age. We’re excited to have a little while to “grow up” together!

@Starrywest: so true! Age has so little to do with where a person is at in life/maturity!

It’s NOT anyone’s buisness.  if you and your finace want to get married, then that’s a decision between you and your fiance.  PERIOD.  people need to butt out and mind their own buisness.

I have had this question come a few times as well! We are both 22, but will be 23 at the time of the wedding. We are both college grads, working on our Masters, WITH full time jobs. We are definitely very mature for our age.

However, I may not get it as much because I come from a religious background where people just tend to marry a littler earlier than the national norm. Also, I live in the South where it’s not really as unusual to marry right after college. Still, though, who cares? If you are happy, in love, and SURE, then why wait? If you have the dedication to make it work, it really doesn’t matter how old you are.

people will always have something to say…
