We’re both 26 (well, I’ll be 26 next month), but look young, and I still get the “And how old are you again?” all the time at the office – annoying.

When I tell them we’ve been together since our freshman year of college (seven years ago!), remarks like, “Wow, what took him so long…” start rolling in.  You just told me I’m young for marriage, but you’re asking why he didn’t propose earlier!  People should really think before they speak.

I’m 22 and he’s 24, but I think that we’ll be 23/24 and 25/26 when we finally get married. We’ve already been together for over 4 years, and even though we’re not officially engaged, we know that that’s what we’re going to do. Everytime I mention anything engagement/wedding related I get a little nervous that people are judging me for being so young and talking about weddings. haha it’s kind of irrational though because anyone that really knows me or bf knows that we’re not your average 20somethings and that neither of us take marriage lightly. I hate the comment (no one’s ever said it to me before but I’ve heard other people say it) of “You shouldn’t be getting married! You’re in your 20s, you should be out having fun, dating,  and making mistakes!” It’s not like getting married means you can’t enjoy life…and what do you expect us to do, go back in time and NOT meet the guy I’m totally in love with because I was “supposed to be having fun”? Or even worse, break up with the perfect guy because I met him too early in life…I don’t think so. Sorry that turned into a rant haha

Currently 27 and FH is 28. We will be 28 and 29 when the wedding comes. People who don’t know us think we are around 25 or 26 so we normally don’t get the crazy questions of being too old or too young!

I’m 20 and will be 21 at the wedding and Fiance is 25 and will be 26.  I  get told all the time that I’m too young and that I look 13.  People are very shocked to find out that I go to college for pre-med and that I work full-time at a prison as a correctional officer!

Im 24 and my fh is 25..! I got  the whole your to young  ordel .. we have been together since we were 18 almost 7 years… which is perfect .. we have grown up together! To some it may be too young but I feel more mature than a lot of older couples .. that maybe got married at an older age but didn’t ever get to grow up! Oh get this when I said something along the lines of ” I always hoped id get married around  this age” my FH sister was like ” I hate when girls say that they are just setting themselves up for dissapointment cuz “men” havnt matured yet! Ehh as long as you and your partner know you are at that stage when everything is ” just right” thats all that  matters. Bitter people will always try to talk you out of it.. but I always say my parents have been married 27 years.. I have good roles models ahaha … that usually shuts them right up!!

Ohhh trust me, I know. I will be twenty in a week and my fiance is 25. I’ve heard it. I know, you are probably like “19 is too young” normally, it is…

I honestly feel like I am 30. I have had a very unique life and I grew up very very quickly. By the time I was 15 I had practically raised 3 children. My point is, no one really knows what others have went through, nor how prepared they are. There are many people who wait til they are in their 30s and get married, just to get divorced later. I have never been so sure of anything in my life, and people need to mind their own. It is not for them to judge.

My fiance and I have known each other our whole lives. We dated when we were younger and parted because he went away to college, we stayed friends, dated other people, and still ended up together. We are perfect for each other. Just perfect. We are best friends. My fiance is a saint, and I would do anything for him. He really is the most reliable, funny, sweet, HONEST man I’ve ever met. He paid for my little sister to go to school while my mom was between jobs. I mean, he’s a keeper. Another sign that people who have just met us and assume I am older don’t know what they are talking about –both our families are ecstatic. I mean just tickled. So, the way I see it is, the people who have known us our whole lives and want the very best for us are nothing but supportive (despite my age) so I think we are doing something right, everyone else can shove it.

My Fiance and I are both turning 29 this year, We were engaged after 5 months and will be together for 2 yrs by the time its our wedding day.

Things happened alot faster for us because of our age and being in the right place in our lives. If i would have met my FI 6 yrs ago when i was 23 we i probably would have gotten married at 25 with no hesitation. so dont worry about what other ppl say. Everyone is different.
