@Ms.GoodEarth: I don’t take it badly, trust me! I choose to carry myself how I do and dress more “classically” as I refer to it – I’m a cardigan/sweater/tailored shirt girl. I don’t wear anything especially trendy, mostly because I feel it looks weird on me. I think that’s a big part of it.
My Maid/Matron of Honor is 22 and is student teaching and gets mistaken for a student ALL the time as well! She looks really young though, it has nothing to do with how she dresses or acts. *shrugs* It just proves that perception can be WAY off, sometimes to our advantage and other times not right? 😉

@AmeliaBedelia: I’m dreading this when I student teach in the next year or two, I’m afraid it will be a lot harder to get parents, high schoolers, employers, etc., to take me seriously when I look young enough to be a student there!

I get a wide range of answers on the topic too. I asked a local craft store for an application because they had a now hiring sign and the lady told me “you have to be 18 to work here, sorry”… I’m 26. Then other days people think I’m definitely my age or a little older maybe because I have a 7 year old.

@AmeliaBedelia: Yaaaaay! I was right! Haha.

I guessed about 23 because you look about my age, but I look young for my age. 🙂 There are so many people that have no concept of age. I’m a teacher, and sometimes I’m mistaken for my students, while I’m mistaken for a parent of a 9th grader at other times. People are silly. You are beautiful; I wouldn’t be too concerned!

@AmeliaBedelia: Haha! Yes! It is really creepy. At the time I had dreadlocks and wore long skirts, etc. and I felt like people thought I was this young hippie chick with a rich old guy :/ It was awful!

I said 26/27. But I am terrible with ages. I always think that everyone is “my age” and I’m 27 so um… everyone else who isn’t obviously 40 or 15 is too. haha.

@Wonderstruck: See, I had the opposite problem. I got mistaken for a teacher a few times by some of the younger kids. I didn’t mind. 🙂 I was an aid and graduated early, so when I did show up I was usually in my work (business) clothes. I can see why they thought it. I’m sure people will still take you seriously once they realize you are indeed the teacher. 🙂
@HappilyEverAfter54: People generally can’t decide. I’m admittedly not great with ages, but I can get with probably 4 years most of the time. 🙂
@CarolinaCola: *High Five*
@kaylee26:@beekiss:@thehoneybear: That’s about how old *I* think I look. 23-25.
@brideatbeach: Haha, thank you. I think a lot of it comes from where the person is at in their own lives.
@cbee: Yes! I feel like people think I have a Sugar Daddy, which creeps me out and is grossssss since it’s my step-dad. Also, sometimes people just TOTALLY screw it up. Example: My, mom, brothers, and sister go out for dinnner. Sister sits on my side of the table. Wait person asks how it’s split, but before we can answer says, “Is it you and your daughter and then the three of you?” Um………
@CorgiTales: Hahaha good point! I base my guesses on my own age as well.

I said you look around 24/25 I don’t see much difference in looks from age 21-25 so I just guessed you were my age… lol
That said, your mom doesn’t look old enough to have a 21 year old daughter… Just sayin’. You’ve got some good gene’s in your family!

I haven’t read any posts yet, but I voted 24/25.
Wow. 21? That’s awesome.

@o0olibelulao0o: She would love you! Lol. I don’t think she does either. Hopefully she won’t see this and kill me 😉 But she is 43. I was telling her about my results and she said, “I was the same way and now I haven’t aged since 38!” I am excited about that. hahaha. Her bio-mom does NOT look her age either, she is in her 80s and looks about 65.
@Rouquine: Lol, I guess so. 🙂 I have looked 20+ since I was 15.

My husband was bang on, he guessed 21!
