I believe it’s 12 months+ for blankets. Under that and they need to be swaddled or in a sleeper.

Nothing should be in the crib until after of age of 1. Swaddled or nothing is best

I just plan on using halo sleepsacks on the baby in the crib and keeping blankets outside the crib for cuddling during waking ours.

Agree with the others, you don’t want anything in the crib with the baby for the first year. That means no blankets, pillows or stuffed animals. I’m sure it’s fine to have baby snuggle with the blanket when awake and supervised, but for sleeping you don’t want anything that could interfere with the baby’s breathing.

@Mrsluckywife:  Because technically you can use it, manufacturer’s suggestions don’t necessarily allign with health and safety guidlines and suggestions. A good example of this is crib bumpers. They are sold and will say suitable from birth but are not suggested for use in a crib. It’s technically up to you to decide what you put in your crib, so the manufacturer doesn’t need to state anything… they just want to sell their product.

Cute little bunny though! You could always use it in a swing/bouncy chair during the day.

@Mrsluckywife:  You’re welcome! It is a bummer that they are not more willing to listen to safety guidlines. Once she is a year old she can sleep with it, and will likely appreciate it more when she’s big enough to hold on to it and snuggle it herself 🙂
