Last year I picked out the runners I wanted and got the store I was at to put them on hold at the store near my moms place. She picked them up and wrapped them up and then gave them to me for christmas! It was moms idea not mine lol, but it was awesome.
I don’t give her a list but I will tell her if there is something particular that I am wanting, I never except her to buy anything but it gives her some ideas if she does want to. Last year my bunny “asked” my mom for a new carrying caged and my cat “asked” mom for a new toy lol
I don’t consider christmas lists greedy, if the person is going to buy you something anyways why not let them know what you would like. Tends to make everyones life easier.

Our entire family does a list. We are nerds and email out our lists and include links to stores/websites, colors/sizes, etc. It makes it so much easier to shop, and everyone gets things that they want/need/fits. Plus it helps my mom who can have a picture to know exactly what she is supposed to be purchasing.

Our family has always been the type that asked for lists! It just makes things easier. Now, you are by no means obligated to get something from that list, but really, what’s the point of the list than.
Now, DH is the exact opposite. The sure fire way to NOT get what you want is to tell him. He’s never once bought me something that I told him I wanted. His opinion is that it’s a gift and you should be happy to recieve it regardless of what it is.

I chose other because we’ve never really made a list. I just make a point early in the year to tell my mom want I want/need in conversation and she always remembers!
