mine is a pearl necklace given to be by a family friend before she passed away, I don’t know exactly how old it is but she got it when she was in her 20s and she died a few years ago at 87.

@Meowkers:  That ring is beautiful! what kind of stone is it? I love that colour

I have two (and they are both borrowed)… The cross is 66 years old, it was given to my maternal grandmother on her 16th birthday and was handed down to my mom when she turned 16… the ring was my paternal grandmothers and I’m not sure exactly how old it is, but it is probably 50+ years old, my grandmother willed it to my mom when she passed in 1986. 🙂

I’m not sure if I need something old if I have a heirloom e-ring?  My ring is probably circa 1940’s.  My FI’s mom also gave us a broken earring she found in a old dresser set she gave us last summer (the dressers are from the 1850’s, the earring is art nuevo, so it may be from around that time.) I might convert it into a necklace pendant and stick it on my bouquet, as I feel like I am cheating using my e-ring.  Here is the old earring.

My something old is a Spanish mantilla (not the veil, the cloth used in Catholic ceremonies) and it is as old as I am…26 years old.

I’ll be cutting a piece from my mom’s wedding dress and sewing it into my own.  She wore her dress in 1966 (my mom and dad will be celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary this June).

I’m wrapping a strip of fabric from my mother’s/grandmother’s dress around my bouqet.

I’m also taking a chinese bracelet that my grandmother wore on her wedding day (ahem from an arranged marriage) and putting that around my bouqet to honor my dads heritage.

I’m not sure. I’m wrapping my bouquet with a handkerchief of my grandmother’s and a pin of hers, but I don’t know exactly when she got it. My guess is 25-50 years old.

I was given a necklace by my grandmother. It is actually the necklace she wore the day she graduated from high school. She’s almost 80 now, so it’s over 60 years old. I cried when she offered them to me… Smile

@auggiefrog:  Definitely ask her!  I think I may have gotten the idea from the Bee. 😉
