I was 16 when we got together, turning 17 that year. He was 19, turning 20. We’ve been together for 5 years this New Years Day, and we’ll have been engaged for 366 days (1 year 1 day) when we get married!

I was 31 and he was 24 when we started dating.
We’ll be 33 (me) and 27 (just after his birthday) when we get married next summer! When we get married we will have been together for about 2 3/4 years.

We got engaged after 10 months of dating, then married 16 months later…so over 2 years together total before our wedding. I was 22 and he was 24 when we got married. We had several people comment that we were too young, but not really anyone that knew us well. Married for over 3 years now and I wouldn’t change it for anything 🙂

DH and I have been together for 6 years, our wedding day was our year anniversary. I was 23 and he was 22 on the big day! We got a lot of slack earlier in our relationship about being too young. We met overseas, and when we came back stateside, we insisted on being near eachother. And a lot of people thought we were naive. It has been wonderful proving everyone wrong! haha =]

We have been together for 5 years (Wedding is 2 weeks away, eek!) We were together 3 years when we got engaged. I was 26 and he was 31 (we are 28 and 33 now).
Age is just a number. Don’t let anyone tell you’re too young. I think readiness for marriage is more based upon your connection and maturity than you age. A 24-year-old can easily be at mature as a 30-year-old.
It’s not like you’re rushing into it. You have been together long enough to know whether you want to spend your lives together. Don’t worry about other people’s opinions. You just do what you know is right for yourself.
