I starting seeing them around my temples in my mid twenties, but it was just one or two. Now I’m 37 and I have a big patch on each temple. I need to color my hair but I’ve been too busy lately. Mine aren’t gray, they are solid white!

I found my first one last year, it has since multiplied and now I have 3. I personally think it’s pretty cool, I’ll never understand why people, especially young women who are clearly nowhere near old, freak out about grey hair.

@nearlymarriedlass: I’m almost 24 and I found my first gray when I was 19……it happens early on both sides of my family, so I’m screwed 🙁
I dye my hair about every 6 weeks or so….sometimes I just don’t have time and stretch it and don’t care for a few more weeks.

I was 24 when I first started getting gray hairs. Of course, this is when I was in medical school, so I had a lot of stress! I now have a full patch of gray in the front of my head and several scattered grays throughout.

@novacaineandlaughter: i think (personally for me anyway) its just a sure sign of aging process that no one really wants – although 19 is still so young, if i got one at 19 id be like wtf but wouldnt panic i dont think

@nearlymarriedlass: I have ONE white hair that I first found about a year ago, at 25. I pulled it out and put it in a ziplock and showed it to SO and my family hahahaha. They all yelled at me! I was shocked though! I’ve pulled the same hair out again once since.. And it was pretty long! So as far as I know, I just have the one 😉

Haha I was 25, i was sitting on the floor of my friends room crying because my 3 year relationship had just ended. I looked sideways at a mirror and saw my first grey hair. I cried even harder after that lol.
Now I actually like them. I pretend they are free highlights

I found my first grey hair in highschool, but I haven’t really had any since. I think I’ve had maybe three? My Fiance is already very subtly starting to go grey – it’s noticable if you look at his hair, especially closer to his ears. We’re both 22.

I’ve had one gray hair in the same spot since I was 16-17. I still only have one and I’m 29. My mom barely has grays and she is 60. My grandmother just became mostly gray and she is 82! My dad is also just getting gray at 61.

35 and haven’t found any yet. *knocking on wood*
However, this is embarrassing to admit but, I found a couple ‘down there’. Ugggh

i used to find random grey hairs once in a while when i was a kid/teen. i’m 29 and in the last year or so i’ve been noticing several grey hairs. i blame my husband, lol.
they’re not really noticeable unless you’re playing with my hair or something, but it still makes me a little sad. but i’ve been dying my hair pink/blue for several years, so i just dye the grey hairs. saves me the trouble of bleaching them, hah.

I found my very first one at the ripe age of 19.
I’m now 26 and they’re all up there. Not terribly apparent, I think, but if I were to run my hand through my hair I could see at least a dozen without even searching.
They started coming in more and more about ayear and a half ago, and I was plucking them for a while but I stopped. These hairs are actually stark white and much more coarse than my normally thin, dark hair. When I pluck them they just grow back and a short, white hair sticks straight up and looks more out of place than a long on.
I’d LOVE to just deal with it and not dye my hair but who knows what I’ll end up doing. Dying is going to get very expensive since I wash my hair every morning 🙁

I’m 26 and after a friend that was only 23 posted on facebook about finding a grey hair I stopped even bothering to look. I’ve seen a few weird strands that might be grey but it’s hard to tell- the short baby hair around my face is way blonder than the rest of my hair so it could be blonde… I found a white eyelash the other day so I’m positively not looking at all, maybe ever….

Well I can’t vote seeing as I found my first white hair at the age of 10. I’m 24 now and have a few silver hairs here and there, it’s not very noticable with my red hair. I actually had to hunt for several minutes to find the one in front to show my mom when she asked for proof 😛 I’m glad it doesn’t show up much because I’m allergic to hair dye and I’m going to have to go gray naturally.
