    I’m 21 & never found one, but my sister had quite a few grays by 19, and at 24 she is at least 30% gray, if not more. She always dyes though, so it’s hard to know for sure.

    I was 22.  I didn’t color my hair until I was 33.

    @nearlymarriedlass:

    I just freaked out last week, I found my first WHITE hair (well 4 of them), I’m almost 31 (in one month). I thought people didn’t get white hair untill their forties or so… First I thought that it was paint in my hair (had been painting in the house) but sadly it wasn’t paint. I think they came from stress, and bad eating habits lately. I’ve always been bad at eating enough protein, I’m sort of a half vegetarian (mostly vegeterian diet, sometimes fish, and very seldom chicken) No I’m looking for tips of how to avoid it further. All I can find is to de-stress,excersice for better blood flow, sleep more and make sure you get enough copper, B-12, protein, iodine in your diet.

    I got my first grey hair at 16!  It was just 2-3 hairs for several years, but as a 29 year old I now have a mean grey streak which is a bummer.

    Actually, it’s a super bummer because I”m allergic to hair dye.  I’ve tried several types that are intended for people with allergies but nothing works.  Boo!

    I started seeing them at 15, I’m about 30% grey now at 22 🙁 I dye it!

    It’s a really shiny bright silver, so hopefully it’ll look pretty when it’s all grey and I grow it out!

    @nearlymarriedlass:  My father went totally white in his early twenties but I’ve done quite well considering. First grey hair at 20 iirc and I pull a couple out a week now (26) but it’s not a problem.

    I can’t recall exactly when I first noticed one.  I think I blocked that out of my memory but I know it was a few years ago!  That being said, I hardly have any (at 32) and with dark blonde hair, the few that I do have aren’t very noticeable.

    I haven’t found one yet! I’m 29… but i’m naturally pretty light blonde and get even blonder highlights. so maybe it’s just disguised in there. but i’m okay with that! my biological mom is in her late 40s and she dyes her hair but i’m fairly certain she doesn’t have greys yet either.

    I started going grey at 18.  I’m 28 now and would be completely grey if I didn’t dye my hair.  It’s definitely genetic.

    I’m 26 and haven’t found any yet. I’m dreading it because I have really dark hair, but my mom didn’t start going gray until she was in her 40s.

    I think it partially is genetic- my Fiance has been going white for several years now and is working up a streak on one side of his forehead (Stacy style). Luckily his hair is an ashy blondish color so it isn’t too noticeable. His mom started going gray when she was 20.

    Also, apparently the faster your hair grows, the faster you’ll go gray (burning through the telomeres, if anyone remembers high school bio). I’m clinging to that hope too, because my hair grows at a glacial pace.

    I found one grey hair when I was 13. It was just the one for years and years, I’ve been dying my hair for about 5 years now (unrelated to the grey, this color just suits me better) and haven’t noticed anymore cropping up in my roots so hopefully it’s just one freak hair.

    I found one this morning, I’m 27 and rattled to the core.

    My Fiance said he didn’t see it. I suspect he’s lying..

    I’m 23 and I’ve been noticing them more frequently than usual… Grrrr. It runs in my family, fine silvery white hair. My dad was practically gray when I was born. Luckily he still has hair though! I might have an entire head of white hair by the time I’m 40 but I’ll rock it Cool
