I was 26 when we signed our civil papers in Italy (in Italy, France etc. you have to sign legal documents seperately from your marriage certificate. It’s essentially swearing to a notary that you understand the laws of marriage for the country and and opportunity to declare if you’d like to make any changes to the standard laws for sharing of property etc… kind of a mandatory prenup, if you will).
I will be two days shy of 28 when we have our April wedding…
Making me 28 when we have our marriage confirmed in a nuptial mass in June.
So not only do I fit into the 26-28 choice up there… I take it over!

i’ll be 22 and he’ll be 30. but it’s weird because i feel so much older than i am and it’s "right" for us. i think this is very much due to my son. having him at a young age made me grow up a lot faster than i would have otherwise.

Funny how so many of us 30 somethings feel the need to say "First marriage, no kids". But, it is great that there are so many of us bringing up the average age of first marriage 😉
It would have been nice to be one of those women who was ready to get married in my mid-20s, but alas, I was not. Huge shout out to all the couples that do have that maturity!
