Does shopping at an outdoor mall count? That is about as much of the great outdoors as I want to see : (27 votes)

I don’t even like going to the outdoor mall.

@redheadem:  Isn’t that what Central Park is for? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m an urban girl to the core, but I do like being outside.  I like running outside, hiking, swimming, etc.  I hate camping.  Randomly, the thing about outdoor activites that bother me are ones that don’t have restrooms.  It makes me nervous to be traipsing about where there are no bathrooms around.

Darling Husband and I are hardcore outdoorsmen!! We met a trail-running club Smile Camping, going days without showering, popping squat or digging a hole to go to the bathroom, getting sweaty and filthy and then crawling into a sleeping bag … these are a few of our favorite things! There’s nothing better than spending an entire weekend outside.

I am not outdoorsy at all!  My idea of a good time outside is on a beach, with perfect weather and a good book, and people bringing me cold, frosty drinks.  Not a big fan of getting dirty, getting sweaty, bugs, sunburn, etc.  For me, it isn’t a vacation unless my room is nicer than the one I have at home and the maids make my bed every day while I’m out.

My husband calls me his “indoor girl”.  The title fits.  I am not a camping, hiking, outdoor loving person by any means.  I don’t even like the beach, although I do enjoy sitting on the balcony and looking at the ocean.  That counts as outdoors, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

I love being outside and going on walks and stuff, but I don’t like hiking or camping.  Give me the beach or even the lake any day.

I thought I was indoorsy/urban (not that they are the same thing) until a vacation to Costa Rica in 2006.  Whitewater rafting, ziplining, hiking through cloud forests.  Amazing.  Since then, I’ve been all about more eco-/outdoor trips.  But I do love me some air conditioning, proper flush toilets, and hot showers.

I can sometimes do outdoorsy things. Like Patios or Malls or a picnic maybe. However, when the bugs and wind start coming around, I’m looking for a door to somewhere safe. I HATE THE WIND. Worst enemy right there.

I do enjoy the beach as well, but it’s got to be the perfect temperature with the perfect breeze with the perfect no-bug atmosphere and warm water, I don’t do North atlantic or pacific oceans. At least not where I’m from.

I’ll camp … but I always quote “With all the money I’m making on my job, why would I go out of my nice house, mostly forfeit my nice car to go out in the wilderness and pretend I’m homeless and broke?” ๐Ÿ˜›

I will hike, but NOT for 11 miles!

I’m having a camping wedding.  I think that says it all.  Although I have to admit that unless I’m staying at least three days, its becoming really not worth it to pack all my crap.  I’m a glamper, aka glamour-camping, so this means that I have a double stuffed queen air mattress, down pillows and comforter and every piece of equipment you could ever think of.  And I really really really enjoy having showers available at my campground.

I’m pretty outdoorsy. We camp a lot, go for walks in the woods, play in the river, Fish, BBQ by the river etc. I don’t hike though, I’m too lazy for that.
