Started dating in high school, and did not move in together until we were married 7 years later. NO ONE in his family lives together before-hand, so it is a big no-no! We never planned on it, so it was no big deal.

My fiance is moving in this weekend, after being engaged for 14 months. And he still would not be moving in until after the wedding except he is putting his house up for sale.

We met and started dating the end of my first year of college, his second. I stayed over in his dorm room even though it wasn’t allowed. Then we took turns staying at eachother’s houses (we both lived with our parents, he lived with his dad, and they did not mind) Then he moved off campus and even though I had my dorm room I stayed in his house. Now we are both out of college and living together. We have basically been living together since we started dating! I never thought that would happen! His mom does not know (accept) we have been living together (she chooses not to know) or that we plan to be engaged soon. She lives states away and is a strict Catholic. My parents are fine with it and love him and has made him a part of the family. His dad is the same way as mine.

We are doing the long distance thing for as long as possible–that means after the ring and maybe even after the marriage. There are two very good reasons. One: my family. They would be so disappointed in me, and I would get a lot of flack for leaving my home, my family, and my friends and moving to another state. Two: the economy. I have a job, and it’s a pretty darn good one. I also have huge bills (thanks to my student loans) so someone has to keep paying them, and that someone is me. Sigh…

We started dating and his lease was up 6 months after we started dating so it was either he sign a year lease or he moves in with me!! We always spent so much time together and were always at my house so hey! Plus I don’t mind sharing my mortgage every month either! 🙂

Me and Mr Mini have been dating for almost 3 years, I am not a big believer in just "living together" without an expressed commitment, so I didn’t want to live together until we were engaged and planning a wedding.
Mr Mini had to move to another city for his career, so we have been living 3 hours apart for 6 months, for engaged about 6 weeks ago, and now we are buying a house and will move in together next month.
I wouldn’t have been comfortable moving in together until this point, because moving in, in my opinion is not really a commitment, and I don’t believe in "common law" marriage. But since we are buying a house together, planning a wedding for next summer, and getting ready for babies right after we get married it just makes sense to do it now.

Hey Bees – I love reading ya’lls stories about moving in together!! Ours go –
– Meet online, date for 6 months
– Move in together
– After 2 months, move to a new state together (promotion for my job, he finds a new job)
– Live in an apartment for a year
– Get engaged, and move to a house!!
– Married after living in our house for a year and a half!! 🙂
I love living together, and we were talking the other day about how everything seems so natural, and almost like the way it SHOULD be – no worries or doubts about us or our future. That is such an awesome feeling!!!

Uhhh I moved in. He was my roommate. So we’ve lived together since day 1. I do not recommend it, LOL. But almost 4 years later we made it, have a house on our own now so it was all worth it 🙂

Met at work orientation
Dated for a couple months
Spent alll my time there, hated my college roommate and tiny dorm room
Officially moved in (as in, got rid of dorm room) after 6 1/2 months
In the process of buying a house after 1 year
Had a few small marriage talks, but will talk seriously after I’m out of college
