Normally when I put my 2-month-old daughter to bed, my husband and I bring our computers to bed and go to sleep shortly thereafter.
Tonight, he’s out at a game and I had some baking to do, so I let my daughter sleep in her swing until just a little while ago when I put her in her crib and am heading to sleep myself.
Well. After two and a half hours of baking and cleaning up the kitchen, I looked at her… AND I MISSED HER! Isn’t that funny? I hadn’t held her in two and a half hours and I missed her.
I probably need a hobby.

Nope not ridiculous! I met with a girl in foster care the other day that is waiting to be adopted and I talked to her for 10 minutes and now I can’t stop thinking about her. So unbelievably sad we are waiting to adopt till next fall. It’s the mother in you!

When I finally started putting Addie in her crib for naps instead of the bouncy chair (at like 3 months), I missed her at every nap! 🙂 Totally the whole motherhood thing taking over.

Oh I totally know that feeling – I miss my daughter after like an hour! It’s practically a physical craving to cuddle her!
