I think its ok as long as you pass the fingertip rule from high school (hem is at or below your fingertips when standing).

It doesn’t look too short in the picture. As long as you don’t flash anybody when dancing or bending over I think you’re good.

It seems fine to me. I wear short dresses to weddings especially if its summer and no one seems to mind

@iheartyou132: Well see, like you, I am tall with very long legs. And I like to show them.

SO yesterday I was going through my closet taking inventory of my spring clothes, mainly shorts and skirts, trying to see whats up. And I was wondering if my shorts/skirts were to short. Because sometimes, I cut off the hem. OK this was a couple years ago now. But I looooved super short shorts and skirts.

Then yesterday I was wondering how short is too short? Like I don’t want to dress like I am 17 gosh. So I was googling that.

Then I saw your post, and was like YAH GOOD QUESTION! thinking it was about skirts and shorts in general. So when I saw your dress, I was like..

“Oh… that isn’t short at all!!!” and then.. “crap. if that dress is in question for being short, then my shorts/skirts must be waaay to short”

That skirt there when I wear it, the hemline hits where my fingers start (instead of the fingertip rule) So I justify this by saying “I have long arms!!!!!”

But really, as long as your not showing eeverything at once, do it!!!

Don’t doubt it or second guess it hahaha.

I don’t think the dress is short at all -but will you be comfortable in it?  You mentioned a couple times that showing your legs is out of your comfort zone…. do you normally wear pants or longer dresses/skirts?

I used to have an issue with my upper arms and I remember when I started wearing sleeveless tops, I was miserable, because I was so self-conscious.

My point in that story is – if you think you can relax and feel beautiful wearing the dress, I think it’s perfectly appropriate.  But, if you are going to be wondering if everyone is staring at your bare legs, then pick something else.
