I think you can get away with minimal decorations. Since it’s evening, I would focus on soft lighting and maybe some floral accents. What about a chandelier or floral chandelier where you will be standing?

like these maybe:

elombardo:  What about lanterns? You could add some flowers to them, and also get some use from them post wedding in your yard maybe.

elombardo:  What about a swag of flowers instead of an arch? And I agree with the lanterns on the aisle.  That would be gorgeous!

elombardo:  If you look at other pics on the venue’s website, it appears that candles show up on that wall even if it’s still light out.

The arch and the pedestals are just too predictable for me.  I would hang two huge black lanterns, on either side of the altar area, with LED candles and your bright colored flowers-using LED pillar candles so you can use flowers.

I wouid hang the lanterns from huge shepherd hooks ( 8-10 feet high) that you make yourself by inserting a length of pipe into a patio umbrella base, then insert a standard shepherd’s hook into the top of that.

The lanterns should be huge-2-3 feet tall for maximum impact. You may even find outdoor ight fixtures that work.

If you want something hanging over the bride and groom you could use the ideas that

rosecut:  suggested, but hang them from the tall poles in the patio umbrella base and pole that I suggested.

You could use a huge grapewine wreath as your base and add flowers and hanging votive candles. That would be gorgeous.

You could also string  a wire between the two poles and use it to hang a floral backdrop

Carnation flower curtain backdrop

This can be made ahead of time with silk flowers.

You could also do or find something like this stunning ombre backdrop with silk petals, on a less grand scale of course.

elombardo:  here’s an image of a swag, they are more horizontal than an arch, and shorter, as sometimes they are used for decor above a doorway.  So being shorter, it will save you some $$ as it can be wired to the wall, you might be able to afford the baby’s breath after all, and still have the same general impact.  The lanterns would go look nice with the space, but it would definitely not be necessary to have them in such a beautiful area. If you have a little extra $$ it would look very pretty to tie a simple ribbon on the back of the chairs. You could get a large roll or two of wired ribbon at Costco.

Rather than have small bows on chairs etc, I would use something higher impact in lesser numbers.

You could make large petal or flower covered pomanders to place at both ends of the aisle, like this daisy one or the one done with moss.

forget the shepherd hooks and ribbon

elombardo:  Oooh, I like this ideaof using shepherd’s hooks, (along with a matching swag instead of the columns, and no ribbons necessary)

I just saw this picture of chandeliers hanging from a heavy wire/rope between trees. Maybe you could do that if your still interested in the flower/chandelier idea.
