I’m not decorating my rehearsal dinner venue. I personally don’t think you need just one more thing to worry about decorating before your wedding. Maybe put some tea lights on the tables when you line them all up, but don’t do any more.

No one will be paying attention to decorations at the rehearsal. It’s just not something people worry about, in my experience.

I agree.  I wouldn’t do too much for the Rehearsal Dinner.  I would definitely do the candles and maybe a colored table cloth and a single flower in a vase but that would be all.

gatorbride9885:  I would try to get the venue to set the atmosphere with the table linens-pale blue? and some beach lantern centerpieces. Keep it simple so you don’t just add one more thing to stress over.

I would use a blue candle if you use a white lantern.

You don’t have to use a traditional beach lantern. A white or blue moroccan lantern or Ikea lantern will work just fine.

If the venue can’t supply colored cloths, use white and provide your own aqua napkins. They are relatively inexpensive and you won’t need as many as the wedding.

i wouldn’t. I actually like your venue as is. Since the colours at the venue seem to be quite warm with the black white and reds, if you were to decorate I would probably stick to white candles on the tables. I am not a fan of cloth table coverings as no one seems to steam out the creases any more….
