Geez! I would call a lawyer ASAP. And if there’s a warrant, I would triple check what it means for you if you fly home (I don’t remember if you live in a different state).

Navygirl14 :  What the hell? What kind of bag was this that they have issued a warrant for your arrest? That is so bizarre. At the very least, lawyer up immediately. Do not go down to the station unless summoned. Make sure all of your answers are done in front of a lawyer. Backup any documentation you have.

I would text your friend and say something like “You need to clear this up with the police” or something and see if you can’t get her to respond, that way it’s all via text that you can hand over as evidence.

As for the friendship: You don’t need to worry about ending it–she did. Hell, she threw you under the bus, backed up over you, and ran you over again. Eff this psycho.

I disagree that you should ghost her or phase her out.
If you’re not interested in any more contact with her, send her an email when you get home explaining your feelings and letting her know you’re ending contact (this may help give you some closure on the situation at least.) Then delete and block her on all social media, her phone number, etc.

ETA: Just saw your update and WHOA. I’m so so sorry this is happening to you, bee. Best of luck and please keep us updated.

Navygirl14 :  you said she’s still active duty? If so, call her commanding officer. I’m not even kidding. DO IT. If you need help finding the info I’ll help. No joke. This is bs!! I hope she gets a dishonorable discharge and that this is completely wiped from your records. Just wow.

I’m SO ANGRY for you.

*hugs* thank goodness for your phone records. Everything will be ok. It will be a shitty road, but have faith that it will eventually be ok. Don’t doubt that.

Navygirl14 :  Okay, so you have a text message proof where she admits to doing it. Have you hired a lawyer yet? If so, I’d send that over to him/her and have them handle the rest. As for your friend–she obviously does not give two shits about you or your life. If she is still active duty, I would reach out to her commanding officer and let them know what is going on.

Navygirl14 :  blimey. Surely they don’t need to subpoena phone records if you are willing to give them the texts from your phone?

DEFINITELY call her CO. Although if she was also arrested, he may have been informed already.

Good luck. Remember, you have all the evidence on your side

I’m so confused. Has she also been arrested?

Why do they think you stole the bag if she’s on video doing it and someone has a statement of seeing her take it?

This doesn’t make much sense…

Holy shit, seriously wtf! You have texts right? Save them so they can maybe be used as evidence? She is admitting she did it and lied. Sending love and light Ve and strength your way, what a horrible person she is. I’m sorry that this is happening to you 😔

This is making zero sense to me. She admitted to doing it over text – that has to count for something right? Plus the video?

Admittedly I have no idea how any of this works but this just seems unbelievable that you actually had to go to jail!
