I’m going to the doctors at the end of this month.  I’m thinking I have a fertility issue for particular reasons.  That will help answer this question.  We originally planned for beginning of 2013.

I’m scared $hitle$$ LOL

But we keep talking about trying for a honeymoon baby….I have health issues and would like us to try sooner rather than later, but I’m so nervous.

If we don’t do that, maybe we will wait until next year…

We waited 11 months after the wedding, BUT, we don’t have any underlying health issues that made us think that we should try sooner. Personal choice for everyone, some wait hours, months or years! As long as you are both ready it is super exciting.

Best of luck!

I got off BC in January. So we were NTNT. In February, I was charting and initially wanted to avoid getting pregnant, but then on my last day of my fertile window I changed my mind so we BD’ed, but lo and behold, as it turns out, I ovulated 2 days prior so we missed it. #FAIL! We got married in March and got pregnant on vacation for our Destination Wedding technically a few days before the wedding, which sadly ended in MC. So we technically didn’t wait until the wedding, Darling Husband wanted kids yesterday and I got a bad case of baby rabies when I started my new job in August of last year, working in pediatrics and OB. hahah.

If you are on oral contraceptives, you may want to ditch the BC a couple months before the wedding (as long as you won’t be on your period during the wedding!) to allow your cycles to regulate if you want kids right away =) Baby dust to you when you are TTC!! =)

@miss islndgrl:  I am so sorry about your MC… It’s really, shockingly painful isn’t it? Like, of course I always knew it was earth shatteringly hard, but I never imagined it to feel like that.

Yay for stopping BC!! It’s exciting isn’t it? I remember that moment, realizing I wouldn’t be on BC anymore…. I took out my last Nuva Ring… Hesitated on putting the next one in… I called Darling Husband (FI at the time) in the bathroom and was like, “Should I just…not?” And he was sooo happy! It was cute! Have you thought about charting at all?

We started trying a year before our wedding and I dont regret it at all, because over 2 years later, we are still TTC.

We plan on trying 7 months after the wedding. I do have some Medical concerns and would like to try sooner but we will see what happens

Tips: You should stop BC at least 6months before TTC, because the hormones take quite a while to exit the body completely. You should also begin prenatals to obtain enough folate for the vital time period after fertilization (21-27 days) for proper neural tube development. Zinc also improves the quality of the sperm and egg. You both should take a zinc supplement. Make SURE all supplements are from healthy places, such as Whole Foods. Vitamin companies tend to add colorings and chemicals that are not good for the body or baby. Whole Foods doesn’t use synthesized vitamins and minerals either, which is a big fertility decreaser if they are syn.

We will not TTC for a long time after getting married. We want to enjoy our time together as a couple first. But, I’m super fertile so I have to be careful to go with our plans lol.
