We were just married in October. We have been together for seven years, and I can tell we are ready to add something to the mix.
However, I am 23 and my SO is 25, so we are still not really in a hurry.
We are starting house hunting this year and once we have a morgage, I think we will start talking about it more seriously.

I think it is ideal to be married for a couple of years at least before TTC. Babies are stressful, so it is good to have time to adjust and enjoy life together first. We might wait even longer, I constantly can’t decide, but at least two years.

@CherryWaves: But, if you want the poll to be honest, you would have a never option like honey said. We all see the posts in every category. Besides, marriage isn’t just about making babies, so those that are not planning to are an honest and contributing part of the community here.

We’re only waiting about 3 months. I’m 36, so if there’s a problem, we’d like to know sooner rather than later. Besides, I’d like to have 2, and I don’t really want to be pregnant after 40.

I picked 3-5 years, but it’s probably closer to 5 than 3 haha.

A year before! LOL we have been together for a few years now and we are both ready to start a family. We are going to stop trying for a few months so I am not more than 5 months at the wedding but other than that hopefully we have a little bundle of joy sooner than later!

@cbee: No, marriage isn’t about making babies. But the poll is for bee’s who are planning on having children. I’m more curious about WHEN they are planning, not if they want children or not. …not to be rude or snarky towards bee’s who aren’t having children; all the power to ya, just not needed in this poll in my opinion.

5-7 years after we are married we plan to TTC.
