@jmlw7:  I thought about this and was like, I’d rather her take an extra two weeks and make them look amazing. No point in bugging your photographer, that’s only going to annoy him/her and/or make them rush through your photos.  In the scheme of things, better photos > getting photos asap.  (I have to wait 12 weeks so you aint got nothin on me!)

@jmlw7: Well in the contract she stated it would take roughly 8 weeks…… so I was hoping since she doesnt do photography anymore it wouldnt take so long (because the contract was obviously when she was fulltime, you could tell in certain wording)

I didn’t harass her in terms of being a pain… but I did (after a month) ask for a possible update just because “my mom was bugging me and I told her I have no eta” 😉 she said she was hoping to be done in another week and a half, but then after 2 weeks was up I found out she had family in from out of town for 2 weeks and she didnt end up getting them done for another 2 weeks after that :s….. I have her on facebook so after the first time she gave me an eta and didnt come yet (I thought maybe its taking time in the mail), I posted “hoping to get some exciting mail this week eeeeeeek”

She took the hint and msg me asking if I meant pics and saying they werent done yet because of visitors…… then I’d post a question on her facebook like “hey just wanted to know how you normally send the package just cause the weather is getting bad and I want to make sure it will fit in a mailbox?” ……. its was just subtle hints not totally directed at her like WHERES MY PICTURES BEATCH lol……

My suggestion would be to check the contract to see if they have timeline… if they do then I wouldnt bug them too much, if they dont then feel free to ask straight up for a close timeline.

The license took 2 wks and the photographer just emailed me that they sent the CD of the images, so about 2 months.

Our license came back quick – like a week and a half!

Photos could be up to 8 weeks though 🙁

Photos are supposed to be here six weeks from wedding day.

We got the marriage certificate the Monday after our Saturday wedding because we filed the license ourselves. I got my new driver’s license and social security card a week after changing my name on both. Still waiting on my nursing license :|.

Photos within a week (if not under a week, only slightly over. Well before we had expected them). I could have mailed off for our marriage license, but had to be downtown near where the office is anyway so I picked it up less than two weeks after the wedding – needed it for insurance purposes. No video b/c had none taken

Congrats! We got married 1 day apart!

I am still need to get the certificate dealt with. There was an issue but should be about resolved. Need to go down and pay the people to get the certified copies.

If you are hoping to see a few photos, maybe ask your photographer if they might be willing to share a few with you. That is sure to atleast get the conversation started, and they might tell you when they expect to be done.

Hubby’s cousin video’d the wedding and said we could keep the camera til we were done with it. We got the footage off the camera nearly 4 weeks after the wedding (we were slack and it took a while).

My photographer said he’d have the photos done by the weekend after we got married. Then he said the Wednesday after the original time frame. I didn’t hear anything back until 3 days before I got them, which was 4 weeks to the day that we got married.

Marriage license I’ve been slack with. I only ordered it on Monday (it’s Wednesday – oops!) Should be here within two weeks. I want to have my name changed by Christmas.

Marriage License: 2 weeks and we got married in St. Thomas USVI.

Photos: We received a sneak peek while on our honeymoon and got all the images about 16 weeks later.

Certificate arrived about two weeks after the wedding. Photos were about a month later, give or take. Video arrived about a week later, which was a pleasant surprise!

@jmlw7:  We got married in Mexico and got our certificate right after the ceremony- they had us sign & fingerprint 5 originals. Some of our photos were back the next night, but we made that agreement with the photog so our families who were not there could see the pics when we were in their home state a few days later. The rest of the pictures arrived about a month later.

We didn’t get our certificate mailed back; I pretty much went to a records facility and purchased a copy I think two weeks later.  Photos (blog recap and full edit) came a little over a month after the wedding.  Still haven’t received video, but according to the contract that is normal!
