I just had this “duh” moment of being 4 months out from our wedding and realizing we haven’t even thought about wedding bands yet! I guess it’s because my Fiance negotiated the price of my wedding band from the jewelry store when he bought my e-ring (since I picked both of them out before we got engaged) so it seemed already done; we just haven’t paid for it/picked it up yet.
However, we haven’t even looked at bands for him yet. When did you start that process and how long did it take?

We got ours 10 months out, but that’s just because we happened to be in town at the spot he bought my e-ring, and the ones in stock were in our sizes at that moment. I would recommend looking/ordering now. 4 months out is a safe time frame to make sure they’re in on time if you’re going to have to special order or size anything.

When we bought my ering we picked out a band and bought it a few days later. He bought is 10 days before the wedding. (we had a short engagement period).

- Wedding: July 2015 - Los Willows Wedding Estate
Our wedding is July 12th and I bought mine about 2 weeks ago. my Fiance is still undecided. He doesn’t even know what he wants at this point anymore. He has changed his mind a million times..

About 2 weeks before the wedding (for both of us!)

Now would be a good time to go. At the jewelry store I used to work at, I had customers come in 2 weeks before their wedding and if it had to be ordered due to sizing/special order requests, it was kind of difficult. If your engagement ring is straight and will go with all different kinds of stock bands, then you shouldn’t have a problem. If it is like a lot of brides that need custom curved bands, it can take a lot longer.

We already purchased mine a while ago but still have to get fiance his in his size. He wants a Tungsteb ring but idk what kind.

our wedding is in June and we got our bands about 3 weeks ago. We just went to look, but we ended finding “the one” for both of us.

- Wedding: January 2014 - Monte Carlo inn
We went to look/ bought ours 2 months before the wedding. But they had to size them both so that took another month to get back ( yeah I know a month is crazy, it was during christmas ). So we recieved it a month before our wedding. I was so mad though, they promised us it would be 1 week to size and I was so worried it wouldn’t come back on time for the wedding

I am 8 months out and asking now. All he says is “I dunno, I want tungsten and maybe a diamond”. He will be the one wearing it, shouldn’t he have a better idea? I am starting early so I can find one he will like wearing.

We picked ours out from a jeweler who was a family friend on the other side of the country 9 months before our wedding, but we didn’t buy them until 3 months out. Then we did, but when they came they were both the wrong color! We ended up returning them and getting basically the exact same ones from a jeweler in our city, and we had both of those in hand by a month out. They had them within 10 days from when we ordered them.
My DH’s ring took longer because at first he wanted to still try to get his ring from the family friend, but then the designer who was supposed to make it apparently had a computer failure and lost half their orders and didn’t tell anyone. So it’s a good thing we had extra time.

We bought a set so I already have my band. I plan on going ring shopping with my Fiance when he comes home in March to see what we like and check his ring size. I probably will wait to buy it though just becaause I am paying the venue off right now and I need to save for his ring. So I am thinking in June I will buy it. My wedding is in September.

We bought my band around 9 months out. There was a great sale that I really didn’t want to pass up at the time. I bought his a couple months ago, so 6 months out.

I would start looking right away. We are getting married in May & we have had our rings for about six months. We have just put them away safely until the wedding. My ring had to be custom made & my fiance took sooo long to pick his. It might take longer than you think, so I would definately start looking now.
